Hands to the chest is what I saw. There was some contact with the face mask, but it was not much. I think seeing the face mask jar a little is why they kept the targeting call. I really don't even think this was roughing the passer. It wasn't late, not hands to the head. He basically ran into him with his hands in front of him.
It was total BS. I've seen refs spend a lot more time looking at a real targeting call. This was no where near targeting.
I think it is completely valid to complain about this. This is what fans do.

Agree with OP. It was a bad call, but time to quit the bellyaching and move on. Regardless of the error, its become a whiny, bitching look for the fan base.
Short of Alleva pulling off a miracle, nothing to be done here but get ready for the next game agains the evil empire to the east.

My biggest gripe is still the scheduling inequality. Do you realize we can beat bama and they will still Backdoor their way into the playoffs? We dont have that luxury thanks to having to play Georgia AND Florida instead of Tennessee and Mizzoo. AT Florida was a game we would have won at home but the sec thought it was reasonable for us to play them at their place twice in a row. You know, as punishment for Florida faking a hurricane when their qb was hurt.
In what world is this fair and why have no national media picked up on this?? It sounds like whining because only Lsu fans are saying anything about it, but the college football world should notice all the advantages Alabama is given. Cmon SVP!!

Was it a questionable call? Yes. Could White have gone to the midsection? Yes and then there's no issues. But all of the whining is unbearable. It's the officials, no it's the bias towards Alabama, etc.... sickening. Recruit great, develop our players properly and then beat Alabama instead of make every excuse on the planet. Our fan base is a joke and a laughing stock to the rest of the country. Down vote this all you want but the reality is real. That's what jealousy will do.....
