I'm sure that applies to Nicky and the boyz that passed on TM7 who attended their camp....

i remember this.....except i remember it coming from alot idiot LSU fans on this board

The difference between LSU and Alabama fans, however, is that you can actually come to an LSU board and read through all of the emotions as they come and go with LSU fans. Whereas on Alabama boards any post hinting of dissention will be removed and the poster shot, accused of being an Auburn spy and banned - in that order. There seems to be an insecurity associated with intolerance of dissent.

So tell me, why are Alabama boards so intolerant...?

Ah, I see.

Thanks for your honesty.

What's so great about it all, is that LSU fans treated Saban the exact same way they treat Miles, but you hit the nail on the head there.

You're absolutely right. What's more is that when Saban lost to UAB, LSU fans were thinking the same things Alabama fans were thinking when he lost to ULM - the difference is that you could read about it on LSU boards, but you couldn't on Alabama boards.

I'll go one further, because we had a large minority of LSU fans saying those things, it was ok for them to say them too.

So, Saban still has 4 more years to start a tradition, then you can compare his next 14 years (as if he will stay anywhere that long) to Bear's body of work

do you really think he's going to stay at bama longer than another 3-4 years max?

i guess it could happen but a better man would probably lay odds the other way around

I'm hoping Les continues to keep great coordinators and stays at LSU for a while but we'll see on that

Some are even saying that if saban leaves, they will come after miles. I shite you not. How times have changed

Of course we know that Miles hates red, so Bama has no chance.

Howard Schnellenberger built Miami into a powerhouse. After he left 2 coaches (Jimmy Johnson,Dennis Erikson) continued on what was built and won NC's. Miami ruled CFB for 12 years. LSU is on year 8 right now. Jury is out whether or not LSU is really a power or just "johnny come lately" that was built by Nick Saban. This is why LSU gets so little respect.

The problem is that since Bear died Alabama has not been a consistent national power. For example. LSU has more SEC championships than Bama since 1982, more BCS bowls in the BCS era than Bama, more BCS championship appearances, currently more BCS championships, leads the head to series over the last 30 years. After the Bryant era, Alabama has not dominated the SEC consistently, and has
in fact been behind LSU since 2001. That is more than 10 years. The question could be asked when Saban leaves what will prevent Bama from sliding back into the middle of the SEC where they mostly have been over the last 30 years, being in 5th place in the number of conference championships over the last 30 years.

I purposely placed this thread on here to see if there would be a handful of Gumps that would appreciate what is upon us. Simply put, the two best college coaches at the present time in all of college football. What I realize is, is that not one Gump has the balls to admit that. Further more, Bama has the second best coach in college football from a head to head comparison. Facts are so hard to run from. So let me say this Gumps, RUN FORREST RUN!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of LSU fans still had a hard-on for Nick Saban, and credited the 2007 NC to Nick Saban.
