Your answer is ... more corporate seating?!?

Corporate seating in areas that are less noticeable when not filled. Seats on TV go to fans. Its a pretty simple concept.
Only works if you find a way to enforce all game attendance though

look, I also don't like that the stadium empties out far too early.

But you can't "enforce" attendance. How the hell would that be determined? What if people don't feel well? Have a sick child at home and need to get out early? Many other legitimate excuses for leaving.

The hard facts are - once a person has a ticket, they can do what they want.

With 150K people on campus, traffic will never be easy. Need to know where to park (I found the sweet spot). 15 minute walk to the car, in my driveway on other side of Baton Rouge in 30 minutes)

Fewer seats, put party areas at the top of the upper decks, premium seats down low, field club, etc. Make it a better experience and people will stay

We dont need PARTY area in a football stadium. We're there to watch a football game, not to party. If you want to party, go to the tailgates or to a bar

Either we miss a quarter of football standing in line for the bathroom or to buy nachos. No sense in fixing one if they're not going to fix the other.

Here's a novel idea, eat before the game

So you would revoke the seats of someone who fell ill from shitty nachos at halftime and left?

Don't eat the nachos. Eat before the game

I dont believe that is a fact.
I seem to remember a story about a team using technology to find out which season ticket holders sold tickets to opposing fans for a certain game and then revoked their seat license. IF that can be done, then tracking 4th quarter attendance can be done.

And the argument about leaving once is just a strawman. Obviously it would be tracked over the course of the season.

The FACTS are we were being trolled pretty hard on the socials for those shots of the stadium in the 4th quarter. Its a really bad look.
Death Valley might be elite for great night games. But Tiger Stadium is pretty mid for every other game.

Funny how many downvotes I got... "But mah tradition!" You can't keep building on and around 100 year old facility (72 if you want to go with the bowl).

1. Upper South never should have been built. We are in a 80” HD tv era, ever growing numbers of people dont want the gameday hassle

2. I would eliminate 5-10 rows of the east and west lower. You cant see the field from there. Have the seating start at row 6 or higher- walls where the rows were. That way you can see the field from the new first row and you take out a couple thousand seats maybe?

What LSU really needs is a new stadium, built to last for another 50 years, with room for modernization every decade or so.

Why is it ingrained in Louisiana culture to just suck fricking arse and accept it?

Everywhere else for the most part had figured out how to have acceptable concession and bathroom lines. LSU should figure it out too. But they can continue to get away with cutting corners because of the mindset of people like you

Better approach is to give away something meaningful like $10k plus per game with a camera scroll late in the 4th quarter to the season ticket holder of record in their seat.

I think most of your early leavers are people who were given corporate tickets. The employee or client that was given free tickets isn't going to be enticed into staying longer so the company can possibly win a prize.

The simple fact is, people don’t have the attention span nowadays to sit through a 4+ hour game. Games used to last 3 hours and the majority of fans stayed the whole game. 5 minutes of dead time for tv commercials every couple of plays makes the game painfully slow.

This. Every time the little red hat ref walks on the field I die a little inside. How we, as paying customers, allowed commercials to take over the experience is odd. Can you imagine going to a concert and having to take commercial breaks while the band just stands around?

It kills the momentum on the field and in the stands.
