I was also against the hiring, but I always support the new coach during his first years. Let's also be honest about the situation. Ed was not Aleva's choice. Due to the intervention of politicians and administrators, he was forced to settle for Ed. So far it has worked out very well. The same forces kept Les around even after his fate had been decided. Let's hope all continues to be good.

That post came from this thread posted on 12/29/18. I didn't realize we hired O at the end of 2018. I also didn't realize that "Can you really see Orgeron leading this program to the CFB playoffs?" is the same thing as can O possibly be successful. Also, outside of a handful of threads, none of which reference you and this supposed link, I haven't posted much on this board in the month of December, so what exactly is your definition of "a few days?"

I think it was more 50/50 of wanting or happy he was hired. I was hopeful but did not think he could deliver an undefeated season. I know he could recruit and figured if he flamed out at least the cupboard would be full for the next coach.

hired an interim who really and truly was not the best candidate.
3 of the 4 head football coaches he's hired in his career took this path.
that ONE of them worked out doesn't make him a genius.

You do realize there was a reason he was an interim coach at those 2 jobs right? And it wasn't because the former coaches had died.
Most interim coaches don't take over programs that WERE NOT winning and win against good teams? Eaux won some of the games against good teams and that is why he is the HC at LSU right now. That is also why USC fans are crying that he is at LSU right now.

I've never denied I didn't like the hire and didn't think he was capable of doing what he's doing today. But the same few people that act like I was this 24/7 hate machine that didn't let anyone say anything positive are just straight up full of shite.

ranter haters are the ones that are not too bright. Not the LSU head coach that is 13-0 heading into the CFB playoffs.
