A good OC/QB coach would either stop running the play with him or teach him how to run it correctly, do you not see that? Any good coach would play to a QB's strengths, do you really not understand that?

I wouldn't blame him if he didn't.

The play-calling and OLine let him down big time.

THe guy doesn't even get the f'ing CONCEPT of the option play. I'm sorry, but my pee-wee QB at least knew the CONCEPT of the option play. It's clear he doesn't have a f'ing clue. It's not rocket science. Yet, the entire year (including in the CapOne Bowl) we had to watch him "skip" down the line, running his RB out of bounds and then making a piss poor decision every time.

If you can't get the CONCEPT of the option play, there is no f'ing way you'll ever be able to read a defense.

We shouldn't be running the option a-hole. That's not JJ's fault, that's coaching. We're not an option team. You sound like a 12 year old girl bitching about getting her cell phone taken away by her mom fwiw.

Crowton was a genius at putting JJ in awkward situations.

Kinda hard to run the option when you only have 10 yards of field to work with. Just saying.

It didn't matter which side the field he was running to. Short side/Long side - it didn't matter. The kid just didn't get it. He didn't have a clue.

He made one DECENT play (to Lafell) all game. And, you can tell that Lafell wasn't on the same page as the ball surprised him. The other TD was the result of busted play.

I'm sorry, but the kid just doesn't have it. He's never had it and never will. How many times during a game do you say to yourself, "WTF is he thinking?"

He did call an audible during the game and it resulted in a TD. That is something that you would not have seen at the beginning of the yr.

You mean that play that Jefferson CHECKED IN TO ALL BY HIMSELF??

fricking dolt.

eta: You do realize you're bitching about running the option don't you? Do you know how insane you sound?

Well ok, Nostradamus.

While you're at it, what are next week's winning Powerball numbers going to be?

Jefferson has looked f'ing clueless all f'cking year. He hasn't improved one iota from DAY F'ING ONE

I disagree. And no, I'm not Gary Crowton. As the season progressed Jefferson took fewer sacks, had a better idea of when to tuck and run and threw medium and long passes with more success. He had brain cramps throughout the season, but shite, so do Colt McCoy and Tim Tebow from time to time. I doubt JJ will be an all-SEC QB or first round NFL pick, but given a decent o-line, I think he'll be good enough to help us compete for the SEC West title the next two years. I'm more concerned about the progress of our o-line than I am about Jefferson.

If the kid can't even get the f'ing CONCEPT of what he's suppose to do on an option play, how the f'ck do you think he can read a defense?

The QB on my 7-8 pee wee team at least understood the CONCEPT of the option play. It's clear that JJ just doesn't get IT. And, he doesn't have a clue as to reading defenses. Further, he's got to be the most inaccurate QB we've ever had. How many times has he put the ball at a player's feet when they are wide open? How many times has he made players turn around to catch the ball on those WR screen plays, thereby causing their momentum to go opposite of where it should go?

The kid just doesn't have it, mentally or physically.

If you watched the game Friday, or any game this season for that matter, and couldn't see that the GLARING problem all year is our interior O-line, then you have no clue. Jefferson was hurried, and nearly sacked, on a 3-step drop. That is ridiculous. 10 yards rushing the first 3 quarters. If you can't run because your line can't run-block, and you can't pass because the qb has no time to throw, then your offense will be 108th in the country. Not a tough concept.

I have watched every game this year and seems to me they ran the option less during the course of the season (correct me if im wrong). Someone must have been listening to all the rantards.

His 62% completion percentage(good for 2nd in the SEC) disagrees with you.

Right now, he's at least as accurate as Flynn ever was...as a true sophomore.

It's not that he can't run the option because of physical limitations (e.g. speed, size, etc). That's not the reason I brought it up. It's that he clearly doesn't get the CONCEPT of what he's suppose to do. It's not brain surgery. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out. And, any QB playing in the SEC should understand the concept.
