I personally speak to 3-4 players weekly. These guys are starters, second stringers and a walk on who never plays. They refute your statement. You'll never see a kid who wants to get on the field come out and say they hate their coach in public. That is your boss and no matter how you feel, you have to kiss his arse if you wanna play.

Just another garbage post from you.

different players feel differently, there is no denying that. There is a large segment of players who think he is a joke and puts on a 2nd face to the public. I can't really get into details without giving out names, so I won't.

It isn't in public, which is why I won't be going further into it.

Just another senseless attack from you. It seems like you agree with me but are attacking me at the same time ?????

That's a true statement. But sometimes, you can witness little details in how the players respond that are hard to explain, but which are tell-tail signs of true affection. I'm not sure if MightyYat agrees with this, but that is what I understood him to mean.

See my post a little ways up. It wasn't just because the players said yes sir. Their total interaction was very telling. FWIW, I'm in the business of understanding human interaction. I'm not just flying off the handle with these comments.

que the smartass comments.

If this is true, why is he doing so well as a recruiter? In your opinion, are players mostly getting recruited by the other coaches, or are you suggesting that highschool recruits like Miles at first, but then start to see a different side to him once they are on the team?

He is a hell of a recruiter and is a good family man.

1127, now I get it. Your boy you know on the team isn't playing and he thinks Miles is a douche. Who should he be playing over?

Without validating your opinion, since I have no way to do so, I am still intrigued.

I would love for you to be a little more specific, if you can.

I just shared a good-hearted story of what I witnessed firsthand this past weekend. You, on the other hand, can go frick yourself.

not true at all, but I once again can't go into further detail without giving out names or too much information. Take it for what it is. If you don't wish to believe it, so be it.

Most Coaches have a different way of acting when on TV or radio versus in locker room/practice field...

Look, I have a nephew on the team so I know how it goes when players don't get playing time that think they should. That doesn't change what I saw with my own eyes.

playing time isn't an issue at all. Either way, its cool that you feel the need to put players down on the team based on playing time instead of the effort that they put into the program

So here's the issue. Either we think Yat can't read people or that he can.

Yat, althought we don't always agree, seems to be an intellegent guy with a respectable job. Therefore, I don't think he runs to post this unless he got a sense of what was happening. So, I believe it as opposed to someone just sniping his post.

The facts back up this assertion. The "nega-miles" guys are amazed at Les's recruiting prowess and Yat's comments fit in with a guy that players want to play for. Sorry "negamiles" guys

What? How am I putting players down? I'm starting to think YOU may be the scorned player.

I don't think anyone argues that your feel good story is great. I just disagree with your blanket sentiment that the players love Miles when that isn't true. It is a totally false statement.

I'm not friends with any of the players but because of what I do, I talk to them and they talk to me. There is no love for Miles. I wouldn't say they hate him either though. He isn't the one recruiting these kids to come here either. His involvement isn't nearly as hands on as you'd think. He plays favorites though and out of that group of guys, there are some who really like him. Others may go weeks without talking to him.

MightyYat is calling you out on your "first hand knowledge". He thinks you must be giving "second hand knowledge". In my opinion, it doesn't really matter. You seem to know something, or think you do.

That is good to know. Les Miles seems to be a man of good character. I am not walking in his shoes and will not judge him. For what I can see of his public life, he is very involved with his family. In my book, that places him high on the list of what I expect of this man.
