may think. I got to do a little meet and greet with Les and some of the players before the game Saturday for a little side project I work with for Children's Hospital. The way the players interacted with our head coach told me everything I need to know about this group of guys. Anytime Les spoke to them it was yes sir coach, no sir coach. You could tell that they really respected him. We have some really quality character guys on this team. Drake Nevis, Patrick Peterson,Jordan Jefferson, Stevan Ridley, Terrance Toliver, Russell Shepard, Kelvin Shepard, Joe Barksdale, T-Bob, Brandon Taylor, Jai Eugene, Daniel Graff. All these guys went out of their way to make a few sick kid's feel like they were on top of the world. Needless to say I was very impressed by the whole thing and thought I'd share.
eta: There, I edited the fricking title for the idiots that think our players hate the head coach because the back-up they talk to are pissed they're not playing.

Awesome to hear. I think the best thing a student athlete can do during his career is to give back to the community. I was pretty close to the program that handles the community projects for a few years during my stint working at LSU and it always touched a soft spot to see the athletes doing their community service projects, especially the Children's Hospital. Absolutely wonderful stuff.

Glad to see the post and to know we have great guys on the team..
No coach is liked by everyone on the team, silly to say such a thing..

There aren't any negatigers. Instead there are nega-Miles and Miles suck asses only. However, I know the players are very respectful towards Miles.

Okay, if you don't want to "out" yourself, can you just tell us some details about why you (and supposedly others) don't like Miles?
This. You can give us some details without giving names.

Come on now, TigerBait1127
Can't you just give a little example of what you're talking about. You know you want to. Isn't that why you posted in this thread!

Im not saying they dont love or respect him, but showing respect, especially at an event for sick kids, does not mean they love him.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that some players love Miles and some players hate him. Just like every coach in the history of the world
I can go along with this. However, it's usually something to do with playing time as to why some players get pissed with a coach.

It wasn't just the no sir/yes sirs. The way that interacted the whole time, even when the kids weren't around told me a lot.

Love and respect aren't the same thing. I don't like your president at all. But if I was at a childrens hospital with him in front of kids I would treat him with respect.
I personally speak to 3-4 players weekly. These guys are starters, second stringers and a walk on who never plays. They refute your statement. You'll never see a kid who wants to get on the field come out and say they hate their coach in public. That is your boss and no matter how you feel, you have to kiss his arse if you wanna play.
Just another garbage post from you.

Miles recruits as he is himself - good character.

quote:That's a true statement. But sometimes, you can witness little details in how the players respond that are hard to explain, but which are tell-tail signs of true affection. I'm not sure if MightyYat agrees with this, but that is what I understood him to mean.
