Giving up the NFL was pretty easy. This is tougher, but I may not be able to continue under this system, especially with what's coming.

The sport does not fall apart as long as stadiums are packed at kick off and millions of TVs are tuned in to the games each week! You may not like where things are going but it’s all about following the money. If you show up in Tiger stadium for an LSU v Bama and only 50 k people are there, then it’s falling apart !

Yea the game is lost it’s becoming more like the NFL. The horror of a team with 4 losses making the playoffs and winning a NC because they get hot at the right time of the year.

I used to try to watch every big game on Saturdays or a smaller game to watch a player I wanted to see.

I already stopped watching the NFL. I really only followed the LSU guys who made it to the league and would catch any game on TV or streaming just to see the starters.
Starting in 2019–20 I got so turned off that I haven’t watched a single game from beginning to end since. My Sundays are free now. I won’t turn it on at home, but I’ll still watch at a bar or a friend’s place.

If things keep going this way, I’ll be fine once I fully accept that I just don’t care about the college product anymore.

Regular season should matter.

Building a roster over four years should matter.

Conference championships should matter and count for something, because the regular season counts for something.

It’s slowly killing my interest. Twenty-four teams is way too many. Hell, twelve is already too many. Four or eight should be the limit. Trash the human selection committee. Use a BCS- or KenPom-style metric only—clear, defined points, goals, and benchmarks so everyone knows exactly what it takes to get a shot at the top four or eight.

I’m honestly sad about the 12-team playoff, and now they’re talking 24. The SEC is on the wrong side of this. At this rate I’d rather just eliminate conference games and keep the SECs 16 teams inside of the top 24 then start the season at Week 13 on lol

Right now if you barely play anybody and finish with three or four losses, you’re still good to get in. That’s the problem.

I loved the entire regular season BEING the playoffs
