Guice and fournette in the backfield on swing passes is the play to call. QB draw option will be effective with this

The tempo style that Ole miss and Auburn uses seems to be somewhat effective against Alabama. You want the Alabama defense on the field for 75+ plays....ideally you want that number near 90 for the game.

Etling doesn't take as long as Harris, plus etling can move around in the picket, and actually complete short passes. Harris couldn't do either, all he could do was throw the deep ball...that took time. People forget about our drive to start the second half to take the lead....Harris rolls out, no pressure....right to bama player. Ballgame

Well, if they are designed runs, maybe OK. Do not want to see him running for his life. Everything in this game depends on the Oline. I will believe LSU can hold up when I see the Oline get some push.

He needs to get the ball out of his hands as fast as possible

Desean Smith is going eat against bama. I believe he is the lynchpin on the offense. He can open the middle of the field and keep the linebackers back

I agree but if we are inside the 10 and they're giving it to us take it. Basically if they're not defending it and using it gets us a score.

I agree, but 60 yards against Bama's defense insinuates designed run plays for Etling which I am completely against. If the moment presents itself, then by all means take the shot.

QB draw could be an effective play late in the game if we throw to 5 or 7 out of the backfield. Let the RB release to the flat and draw the LB out all night and then late in the game inside the 10 or 15 let Etling do a 3 or 5 step draw up the middle for the winning TD!

If our TE's can force bama to drop a backer and add a safety for coverage purposes, that will help us twofold. If that scenario happens, then we are obviously killing the linebackers on passes to desean and jeter. It also gives our line one less backer to have to reach and a smaller body to have to tackle LF7.

He's definitely going to have to make some extra plays with his feet. Bama will rush him constantly and over-pursue until we/he catches them a few times.

They will bring the house to see how he holds up. Can't remember the last time Bama lost to a QB who didn't kill them with his legs.

I'm thinking this is one of the reason's we've seen Coach O emphasize the 2 WR 2 TE single back sets.

I think LSU might look to utilize that "forward pass" we've been hearing so much about.

Not that Etling is Superman but in these past five Bama losses we have had no QB play. Finally, we have one to feel confident about. Even mediocre QB play will be the difference maker in whether or not we are competitive.

The play giving the Fighting Tigers the edge will be either a Jackson kick return or Tre punt return. HOUSE!

In my opinion we need the wheel route to be successful. We also need to complete 6 to 7 passes to our tidy ends. We also need to have one or two possibly three passes to our fullback coming out of the backfield as well as running backs. I think then if we can do that in at Etling pick up a few yards with his legs we can be successful

Saban will be looking to take Etling's head off. Look for an early targeting hit or late hit. Hopefully it doesn't have a lasting affect.

I think as crazy as it sounds it may be as simple as having the right thread started at the right time by Tigerman74 that will bring glory.

I like it. A couple RPOs where the TE or RBs drag the middle of the field to draw the LBs out and if the Bama DE/Rush LB gets upfield too far, Etling has the option to run to green in up the middle. Take it if it's there and get what you can and get down to avoid the big hit. One or two of those early could slow the pass rush considerably.
