I feel very confident that it will be Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and either Oklahoma or Arkansas-- and i really feel like it will be Oklahoma.
It pretty much comes down to who plays who in the final week of the season. LSU-Oklahoma and Arkansas-Missouri makes way more sense than LSU-Arkansaa and Oklahoma-Missouri.
The only real alternative would be if LSU-Florida start playing the final week and Florida-Florida State play earlier. Oklahoma could get back to playing Oklahoma State the final week. This would actually be the most awesome option.

reviewed every 4 years.
Interesting
Someone in the SEC home office needs to review the meaning of the word permanent. In their defense they probably went to Alabama.

You need to review your reading comprehension. They aren't being called permanent. They are being called annual.

Rage on, bro. A&M will stick with us.

Unfortunately, I don't see UF and FSU agreeing to move their game. So we'll be playing Oklahoma for the final week for a while.

Florida, Bama and likely Ole Miss.
Auburn, Arky, and MS State also candidates for the 3rd slot IMO.

They will not want a third top tier team for their annual opponent
I’m not buying this either bc guess what, every year they will still have at least 2 of LSU, UGA, Texas, A&M, OU.
It doesn’t get any easier since you still have to play every team every other year.

Will the SEC home office continue to give bama EVERY advantage possible?
Well they are 100% getting AU and Tennessee. I doubt they will get another if the big 6, OK or Texas as their third.

Alabama is absolutely getting Auburn (Iron Bowl) and Tennessee (TSIO) as 2 of their opponents, the other schools want them too. So the question is, who will their third opponent be?

Bama gets Auburn, UT, Vandy
This makes the most sense for Bama. They will definitely get Auburn and Tenn. SEC will not add LSU to that.

So hypothetically let’s give Bama Vandy.
That means in 2026 they still get Auburn, Tennessee, Texas, LSU, Florida.
2027 they get Auburn, Tennessee, UGA, OU, A&M.
It doesn’t really get any easier if they don’t get LSU every year.
In the new model, everybody will have 4-5 tough opponents every year.

You travel to every stadium in 4 years under the new schedule, so it's never easy. We haven't played UGA in Athens since 2013, but we should next year.

Those 3 were announced as our permanent opponents at one time, but
was scrapped long ago which led to the 2 year bridge schedule we are
playing now.

This is pretty damn strong work.
I think there will absolutely be a geographical component to it which is why I don't think we get UF.
They will go through:
- Top Rivalries
- Fairness (not 3 powerhouses for anyone)
- Geography

For everyone saying it’s “not” Bama… name the “top 10” SEC matchups for TV.
This is about money. They’re not giving up a top 10 matchup for TV.
LSU-Bama will be an annual matchup
Won't be nearly as big in future years. And Alabama swings some power in this conference and will not get LSU/UT/Auburn.

My guess is Arkansas, A&M, Ole Miss

I too love getting paired up with an absolute loser

This is my prediction as well.
I assume that Bama will get Tennessee and Auburn, so the SEC wouldn’t want to pair us up as their 3rd permanent opponent.
And the SEC really wants to make LSU/Arkansas a rivalry, even though we don’t really care about the Hogs. I would prefer getting Auburn back as a permanent opponent. That has been one of the league’s most entertaining series since we started playing them yearly in the early 90’s
