Great teams find a way to win ugly.

I think its more of an anomaly. I doubt LSU losing to stony brook last season had anything to do with us not winning the sec tourney

Agreed. Also good to know we can win games without one of the big three starting.

We'll have to see. All signs point to this team going to Omaha. They're really good.. check.. They went far in the SEC tournament.. check.

LSU gets the 6 seed instead of the 7 if Goody doesn't blow a save and LSU isn't matched up with Miami/Stony Brook and LSU makes it to Omaha.

Sure they don't seed 9-16 but it might have shuffled things around.

So if Tyler Moore doesn't get the hit yesterday, is the team worse off?

That's what past history says. You can't fight data. Tyler Moore doubled LSU into Omaha.

This year's tournament is going to be very important because we're going to get a taste of how LSU is going to compare this time of year with a legitimate championship team like Vanderbilt.

They might have won, they might have lost, they might have all dressed in drag.

Assuming you don't catch an injury bug it helps IMO. Making the SEC championship game not playing your best ball isn't a bad thing for confidence. Winning while shuffling players to gauge where some players we'll need in tourney are and due to injury helps as well.

I forgot South Carolina was LSU.

South Carolina's recent history has as much bearing on this LSU team as the 2000-2009 teams have, given that not one person on any of those teams is on this team.

Mainieri being the main link, you could only argue 2007-present having any relevance.

2002 LSU goes 2-2, LSU loses in Super Regional.
2005 LSU goes 0-2, LSU loses in Regional.
2012 LSU goes 1-2, LSU loses in Super Regional at home.

Wow, that's actually pretty cool

I would rather us herp derp now and still win the SECT b/c we're getting the extra at-bats in live games to work out whatever the issue is...better now than in the regional.
