The SEC Score Board was filled with fear today

They won’t admit to it, but people are starting to notice how lethal this offense is. They can talk all they want about how our defense is trash (has definitely been shaky), but in the back of their minds the last thing they wanna see is that offense against their teams defense. Even if the defense doesn’t improve even a little bit (unlikely), this offense will allow us to compete with anyone in the country.
Believe what you want, but I truly believe the ONLY thing that’s going to hold this team back is injuries. If we can get our guys back in a timely manner, and keep them healthy, this team will do some damage. It just won’t happen in a way we’re accustomed to.
2 weeks from now is when the real journey starts, and i’m fricking riding with this team. Big dick burrow and this offense are going to carry the weight of baton rouge on their fricking shoulders. Let’s ride baws.

We're solid but we haven't played a good defense yet. We won't keep throwing up 40+ going forward but you have to like what we're doing.
I brought up our scoring to a friend today. I used to feel good about 28+ a game. Today I was wondering if we could put up 28 in the first quarter.
We're making all the right moves, just gotta see if it works.

Texas doesn't have an awful defense from a talent standpoint. Their non-LSU opponents this season haven't averaged 20 points on them and we scored 45.

OU gave up 40 points 4 different times during the regular season last year, one of which was against KANSAS, and they were 10 points away from making the national championship game. I’d like to think our defense will be better than last years OU defense later in the season.
I know we haven’t played great competition defensively, but neither have a lot of teams, and they’re still not putting up numbers even close to the numbers we’re putting up.
We also put up 66 on a team that only allowed 30 against Georgia. Just to put it in perspective.

there is only one team in the SEC that can score with us. and we have a whole lot of time to get better before we play them.

You guys will absolutely average 40 per game. SEC defenses can't stop what you bring to the table, Burrow-Chase is going to be fun to watch all season.

I don’t know if they really are sacred yet. We need to play a team with a real defense to prove anything. And need to learn how to play defense as well. Bama, UF, maybe even auburn and MSU probably are looking forward to the challenge.

UGA fans seem particularly belligerent. They must be agitated that we've gotten so much attention with our offense.

I think the only game we don’t score at least 40 in is the Auburn game.
