“The Scheme” cliff notes

-Film was terribly produced. Not an HBO quality product by a long shot
-The FBI was bored and basically initiated the whole thing. But then didn’t do much with the info they gathered?
-Christian Dawkins is a dummy
-The Wade recording was the same as the transcript
Pretty much a waste of 2 hours

Im shocked that schlabaugh thought wade came out looking worse than sean miller. Miller is all over this documentary. Wade is in it for all of 2 minutes, and partially joking during his phone call. Im not denying he did stuff, but this documentary was way worse for miller and his assistant

Additional notes:
1. No one looks good in this. The FBI looks incompetent and running in a room with machine guns drawn for Dawkins was way beyond overkill. The FBI agents didn't testify and were shielded from the trial to help the prosecutors - not to mention their unethical behavior.
2. The NCAA looks bad. What's new?
3. Dawkins contradicted himself and looks self-serving. To infer the investigation was racially motivated and then say that the FBI really wanted Rick Pitino undermines his points. Ultimately, he hustles to get rich, like he wrote in his letter to his parents about not going to school at the end.
4. Sean Miller definitely looks worse than Will Wade, but I'm not sure the FBI and Southern District of NY prosecutors aren't in the same boat of looking bad.I can't believe Mark Schlabach said on OTB that Wade looked the worst on the documentary. And, if you're a subscriber to The Athletic, Dana O'Neil wrote a follow-up article in the last few weeks to her original in the fall of last year mostly focused on Will Wade and how bad this is for him. I don't get it.
5. The bottom line of it all is greed (Dawkins, shoe companies, NCAA, universities).
6. I have no idea what Notice of Allegations the NCAA can hand down to LSU over this, especially if they already looked into Smart and his family.

Bombshell I missed was the FBI agents stole money that was being used to bribe coaches. And the fbi used tax dollars for this. What’s next taking over ncaa investigations? Seemed like one big trap.

Yeah a scheme created by the government where they basically tried to force a guy to do their bidding and then turned on him when he wouldn't give them what they wanted. FBI looks totally inept and kind of sad actually.
