If the guys that opted out (not just LSU guys) this year fall in the draft and lose $$$$, then that will stop players from doing it next year.

I hope we are not seeing the beginning of two and out. Shelvin and Vincent were draft eligible but passed it up so what was to be gained by sitting out the season other than agent cash. Now that all of D1 is playing it looks stupid on their part.

It crushed us.
You can coach all you want but you can’t teach experience.
This will be a great year to rebuild.

Kept running man coverage all day knowing our secondary is arse. Take away that pick 6 we got and it’s not even close.

Totally agree. The one thing no one can teach is experience. Unfortunately we probably saw the best LSU could do at this time. I do think things will improve as the season goes on.

Teams with experience will have a HUGE advantage this year, The lack of practice time this year will hurt the teams that need it most.

Couple that with the amount of players we lost... it will take time...
and Pelini was a bad hire. That does not help either.
There was a reason he was not wanted at LSU after the first couple of years and why he is not at Nebraska.

Blah, blah, blah. Still should have had enough talent to beat MSU.

That will become more and more evident as the year goes on.

Could have used Monroe, Brooks and Vincent for sure. Still not sure why those guys transferred or opted out.

Correct. We all knew this wasn't a title team coming into this year.

The question is can we develop enough this year to put ourselves in position to make a run in 2021.

Of course it was. That’s been a given for quite some time. Did anyone actually think differently?

This was coaching man. It was not a talent issue. 100% coaching. We, apparently, have better talent if you believe we recruit better than MSU. Inexcusable loss.

The only one on that list who we can’t blame for opting out is Chase. The others still had a lot to prove before being first round picks. I legitimately believe there’s tampering going on and it should be banned somehow. RYAN CLARK

We allowed 600+ yards....totally ridiculous... then we expect a first start QB to compensate for that and for the 14 starters we lost. If that were not enough, the virus kept us from getting reps. Teams with experience will, at least for the first half of the season shock some teams with talent....
it is what it is.
Brennan needs to improve, I think he will start to see the game better w each week. Our overrated D coach needs to get his act together. He was let go during his first stay, not because of overall numbers but because 3rd downs performance and the results thereof.

How about the biggest turnover of any team ever, not just a championship team. 17 starters lost! Guys, that’s an average of 2.5 starters back on both sides of the ball! Think about that for a second. Teams are usually hurting and “rebuilding” when they have 5-6 starters on either side returning.

But, bottom line is the coaching staff overall DID NOT have this team ready to play this miss state game, period! This should NEVER happen on any given year considering the gargantuan difference in talent, even without our starters returning.

MSU isn't Clemson or Alabama. They are very average players that were better coached

The Pelini hire is still a question mark for me. So basically no one was even after him in major college football but Coach throws the bank at him like he's a home run hire? and everybody wanted him. If anything offer him 750k with a bunch of incentives. We only have a couple more games that we should win but it only gets tougher and Bo Pelini has already got strike one against him. The game is about in game adjustments and pelini made none.

Selfish? Exactly who do they owe?

Did they sign an agreement saying that they have to stay for 4 years?

I'm just trying to figure out how LSU gets back to the 85
With limit of 25 it will be hard to do for the next 3 years
Marshall is going pro and I'm sure some others will as well
