This is true and would be true again with just about any OC other than Cameron.

When is the last time we had a truly bad line?

Even this year, we lost 3 starters, played an average guard at LT and still our line play wasn't awful.

I don't think we've had a truly bad line under his watch.

We havent. People just like to make up stuff. Since he hasnt been a good OC they just think he is a horrible coach in general, which is not the case. Hell Urban Meyer was looking to add him to his staff at Ohio State last year.

Not if it's Cam Cameron.

Its not made up.

2008 OL sucked enormous arse.

Since then it has been good at times and not so good at times.

In 2008 the entire team sucked arse not just the OL. Actually besides the pick sixes the offense wasnt that bad.

LSU has had one of the better offensive lines in the country since then.

my biggest bitch with the OL has been with pass blocking. maybe we are recruiting great run blockers but, under stud, our OL has been mediocre in pass blocking. as far as run blocking we have had some good un's but when the opponents stack the box that doesnt help. we either recruit great run blockers that can't pass block or we aren't coaching them well.

although I want to see stud out (at least as oc), I truly believe the problem is the QB. qb play has been below aerage since flynn left. miles was terrified of jl and jj throwing pick 6 and just being incompetent so he pulled the offense back in. enter mett and he started throwing ints. in the red zone. it doesn't matter what scheme you rn if qb is bad.

I'm not there yet, I think the scheme just wasn't setup well enough to put him in a better position to succeed. There's really nothing wrong with the offensive philosophy, it was just tactically a mess.

I agree if there is a complaint its definitely pass blocking. But besides Mettenberger this year, I havent remembered the qbs being under that much pressure. I just dont think Lee and Jefferson could pass very well and were very slow during their progressions.

I agree. Getting your QB knocked out against north fricking Texas is a pretty good sign that your o-line is pass blocking at a middle school level.

For all of you that keep saying that LSU could do alot worse than Stud, LSU can also do alot better. "Could do alot worse" is not going beat A&M, UGA, and Bama.

LSU is an elite program and the players deserve bthe very best that can be hired.

How dumb. A QB can barely get hit but get hit in wrong spot and get a concussion or a torn ACL.

our OLine has been average under Stud. We kill it in big games and look lackluster in others. That might not be Studs fault but an overall motivational issue.

Against Bama they were rock solid. Against North Texas and Clemson they were sleep walking.

you don't even realize that was a corner blitz that the qb didn't see/catch/check out of.

That being said, this is a Cam Cameron thread.

I think Miles trusts him to let go of the reigns. They have similar philosophies and have similar coaching backgrounds. Of course they are also very close friends.

uh, we beat aTm, we beat uga the last two times we've played. we've beat bama more than any other team in the country since saban has been there.

The inconsistency of our OL is what gets me the most.

I know that we had a lot of injuries this year, but we seemed to dominate Alabama and then get dominated by Clemson.

I'm not sure if Stud would be better if he was able to strictly focus on the OL, I sure hope he would be...

It was a corner blitz...
This then started a huge debate whether or not Mett had good pocket awareness
