back in those ancient times when I was a LSU student, tailgating didn't exist as we know it today...

there was enough parking and public transit options to make getting to and from Tiger Stadium a totally painless experience as compared to today

tailgating as we know it today evolved as a logistical solution to get to/from Tiger Stadium...

with a 25K crowd, getting in and out is going to be easy...

There is no longer any reason other than the government exercising power and enjoying it... as well as a justifiable fear of plaintiff lawyers. So at this point the reason we are wearing masks is government enjoying power and plaintiff lawyers.

Police couldn't arrest everyone, but LSU could completely shut down having fans in the stands and close off campus access entirely on gamedays if people refuse to follow guidelines.

I always thought tailgating was silly.

Nothing more depressing than to see a group of 50 year olds blare “Mr Bo Jangles” on some overpriced speakers while they try to pretend being an alcoholic is the norm.

I’ll bet you’re a blast a parties.

It's more like we'll be tailgating like other conferences do. Smaller and behind our tailgates...

They don't have to arrest everyone. If they just start arresting a few , the rest will pack up pdq and head for the gates.

It's not tailgating if you call it a protest!

There will be a Mike the Tiger for President political rally each game day outside Tiger Stadium. All are welcome - bring your own food, music and drinks. Be aware this is not a tailgate - this is a political rally. Also no masks are needed at political rallies.

This was only done to discourage fans without tickets. That's why you must have a parking pass.

For instance... I rolled my tix to next year. I WAS 100% going to tailgate. Now there's no way to get trailers and such onto campus. They've made it too difficult. So they win. But, I think in the long run they will lose. I'd be willing to bet a large chunk of ticket holders will realize how nice it is to watch the game at home. We shall see.

Well, I definitely expect the envelope to be pushed and the language to be vaguely interpreted as to see what can be done and gotten away with. It will be interesting to see what happens and what ideas are executed in response. I expect some creativity.

Exactly, I'm just walking from my car to the stadium. I do need to stop and rest for a minute as it's a long walk. Maybe I need to stop and rest every few feet. Maybe I'll rest under this tree with my friends who are also going to the game.
