I think the real question you should be asking is if SE can put up more than 0 points against Bama.
The main reason Ensminger didn't score any points on Bama in 2016 was the offense he was stuck with. As everybody knew the plays coming before the ball was snapped, including Bama. We could beat most teams despite that glaring weakness, but not elite teams like Bama.
The reason Canada's offense outgained Bama this year is that their defense was forced back on their heels, as they didn't know the plays coming before the ball was snapped as in previous years with the old Miles' offense. Thus, as long as Ensminger doesn't go back to the old Miles' antiquated offense, he ought to be able to move the ball against them.

True. Question is, which offense is he going to go back to? The one he orchestrated at Auburn that got him fired?

Defense will have to carry the offense early

Man...you just can't help it, you are ate up with the dumb arse.
He said he was going to design an RPO offense with three to four wideouts. In other words, we will be a spread type offensive team where the QB will have the option to run or pass the ball, and he plans to be a no-huddle tempo oriented offense as well.
Moreover, a lot like in Canada's offense, Ensminger also plans to employ a lot of different people and positions in his offensive scheme as well. As he wants to get the ball in the hands of as many playmakers as possible.
Indeed, Ensminger's offense will be a very modern cutting-edge spread offense. Not unlike the schemes that most colleges employ around the country today.

Get the F outta here with that.
If the O does what it did during the final games of 2016, the O will be fine.

No, you're wrong, we have three starting offensive linemen returning for next season. O also added the top JC offensive tackle and offensive guard to this years' recruiting class coming in. So regardless of what you say, the offensive line should be quite solid this upcoming season.
We will have a loaded up wide receiver core. One of them, the transfer Johnathon Giles is a former leading receiver at Texas Tech and an excellent route runner. As he had over 1300 yards receiving in one his seasons over there. Meanwhile, 6'6" receiver Dee Anderson will be a beast next year, then the others Steven Sullivan, Drake Davis, and Derek Dillon are all solid and experienced receivers that should be improved with the addition of Sullivan as the passing game coordinator. Not to mention, that we are also adding two 5 stars and two more 4 stars to the mix in this year's recruiting class as well.
We are also getting two solid pass catchers/blockers in Foster Moreau and Tory Carter back, and we will also be adding transfer Thaddeus Moss, (Randy Moss's son) to the mix as well.
Nobody really knows how good the running back core will be, but everyone agrees they should be solid.
The biggest question mark going into the season and the make or break issue will be whoever wins the QB job. However, both of them, Myles and Narcisse, should eventually be significant improvements over Danny Etling.
I'm hearing that right now Myles is a little better at reading defenses and at passing to the middle of the field, which is understandable because Narcisse was injured a lot during his high school years. However, on the other hand, Narcisse is a far better runner than Myles is, has a very strong arm and is also a very gifted passer as well. Anyway, from what I've heard, Narcisse just needs more reps, but it is a very close competition right now.
Personally, I'm pulling for Narcisse to win it because I think we need a good dual-threat QB to take the next step up.
Anyway, if the QB position proves to be solid and doesn't struggle, we have a good potential to be a very good offensive team this season, while Aranda's defense should be elite. In other words, the situation isn't nearly as bleak as you make it out to be, party pooper.

The offense was far from a failure even with ogre meddling and with lesser personnel than 2016. The HC can meddle the last 2 minutes of the halves for major game
Decisions but other than that he was supposed to stay out and he lied plain and simple. He doesn’t have the offensive experience to do any meddling whatsoever. Let him meddle on the d side

Bwahhhhahhhhh. He’s too fricking stupid to realize you don’t have to have a running qb for RPO’s. It’s nice to have one but we didn’t last year. Look at nick foles. He checks into runs pre snap read. That’s his run option. He’ll prolly tell us next Canada never had RPOs and never used spread concepts either ever!! Canada used formations similar to malzahn and Meyer with the h backs a lot also. Mannthis emsminger ofgense is gonna be so great. So riveting. No wonder he’s a top wanted OC in the country.

Defense will be 1 of the best next year being a top 15 defense...
This is my problem with people and their ability to prognosticate. A top 15 defense nationally against the likes of Miami, Georgia, Alabama and the rest of the sec doesn’t normally finish with an awful record. Their are exceptions. But we’re no Vandy. Yes we have no proven stars but our offense has 2 4* QBs and is littered with 4* and 5* WR. Vandy never has any of that. Plus we are traditionally a team that runs the ball well so....

Lost most of the offensive line, lost most of the backfield.
I have heard for the past years just wait till next year.

You are really over exaggerating, but I expect our offense to look bad early on next year.
