The real reason for Anklegate

When Burrow takes the Heisman then Tua can still claim he was better and would have won if not for the bad leg. He can attempt to leverage his draft status without having to prove it on the field. He simply knows Burrow is pulling away in the race for awards and money so he is trying to cast doubt on Joe by eliminating himself as competition

Or maybe, just maybe, his ankle was just injured.
Nah couldn't be

Well, I do not care either way.

Didn’t limp much all game. Couldn’t even walk after the game. He wasn’t 100%, but definitely played up the injury after the loss!

Yeah, that whole “surgery” thing was just for show...

Anybody who drafts Tua before burrow is a moron. Tua has glass ankles. Burrow is a warrior and a leader.

That dude walked with no limp to the locker room during TN game then they show an ambulance and say he’s going to the hospital. Then he has two holes drilled through his leg bones but is out practicing a week later. He plays the whole game then staggers to the locker room after LSU. I don’t buy it. It was a ploy to get the media talking about Bama and a ploy to cover for Burreaux being better

Buddy if you actually believe that you got problems

His draft status is falling. Those loons on ESPN may say otherwise because of their bias, but Tua is damaged goods. Two bad ankles and a bad knee. I wouldn't take him until day 2. His longevity in the league is questionable at best.

Come on man..
You people can say what you want about Tua but all I've seen is one heck of a college QB and what seems like a very good person in general so I don't get the personal hate for him.

Scouts will look at the 1st half of the season and last year realize he is not the QB Burrow is. His accuracy is good under 10 yd but Burrow 75% past 10 yds. Burrow's decision making is better.
I'm not sold on Tua at all as a pro QB. He will need to prove himself. He has played behind the best OL in college, had a super running game to support the offense, and has 3 NFL WR's on his team. Yet his accuracy is nowhere near Burrow's. His passing yardage comes from the YAC's.

Imagine Bobby Hebert trying to say his name on the daily

Pretty sure faking (or over stating) an injury and making yourself look injury prone is not going to help your draft stock.

Tua played very, very well. He has heart and good character. He is easily a top five pick in the draft. He was hampered by his injury. That being said, I like Burrow better and he deserves to be a higher pick in the draft. I think Burrow is a lock at this point to win Heisman.

Why can't some fans just say coach O did a great job and Joe burrow is an outstanding quarterback and leave it at that? Instead, they have to bash on Tua or take a dump on Les Miles.

I want to punch you for calling it Anklegate.

We don’t need to do this. We are the better team with the better QB.
