3rd on the team in HRs

Sometimes I think you'd be happier being right than Slaughter playing well

I’m happy he’s doing well tonight.

I’m more laughing at the attempt to rub it in my face.

Oh I understand the need & the desperation to strike while the iron is hot. Might not get another chance at it. That’s what makes this fun

Or maybe Slaughter hitting two 420 ft homeruns is the power potential we were talking about in those threads and what he is capable of bringing to the team that Reid cannot

Who dropped more bombs tonight, slaughter or the coalition forces?

If that’s what you want to hang your hat on, so be it.

And Odell Beckham was a cocky high schooler who wouldn’t make it.

Never said he wouldn’t make it. Just that he had an attitude problem & my opinion wasn’t even formed watching a football game, it was from basketball earlier that year. Which I outlined either in that thread or one around the same time. Don’t really care at this point, it’s funny

I have a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.

Ill be more impressed when he hits for average. Hitting a couple bombs and hitting .220 doesnt do it for me. Give me the guy who gets on base at a 42-45 % clip

Yeah. Getting on base means so much more than actually scoring runs.

Everyone knows that’s how games are scored.

Would you say getting on base generally leads to run scoring or no

There are so many variables that go into this.

I know one thing. PM chose to go with Slaughter and I agreed with him.

You wanna go ahead and say you know more than CPM?

Other than hitting a HR, how else do you score a run without actually getting on base?

The thing is- getting on base doesn't guarantee a run. At what rate was Reid actually scoring?

Also would you rather have the guy that has no pop getting on base constantly or have the possibility of a big bat driving in runs?

Clearly CPM chose 1.
