Quit making excuses for the team and look at the real problem. I believe it was the head coach who said that baseball should be played every day so it should be up to the coach to get 'em ready. And another thing.......it's not the game decisions that Mainieri makes it's WHEN those decisions are made!!

couple of other pitchers to miraculously find it.
Can definitely happen...it happened in the SEC tourney last year.

As Smoke would have put it "our pitching isn't very good right now, our hitting is a little weak, our fielding could be better, and if could have scored more runs than out opponent we would have won the game!"

so basically you think, if coaching had made better decisions, we would have won some of those games? typical

Blake Dean needs to catch fire and challenge his teammates to keep pace. Anthony (if physically capable) needs to do the same for the pitchers. This is their team. As they go, so does LSU.

They are not winning and it pisses the ranters off.......

The problem with LSU sports in general are idiots like you who start threads like this. Guess what? LSU is not capable of winning every game they play. If you can do a better job than Paul M. then get your stupid arse out there and coach the team. When I was a student at LSU, we were lucky to have 50 people show up. The guy just won a NC title last year. I hope that you're a kid and not a graduate of LSU. Kids like you are what give the real fans of LSU.

They're in a minor slump. It's happened to practically every baseball team we've ever fielded.
True- You can look back at all our CWS teams, they all went through this...although I am concerned about the pitching on this year's team more than any team before...

very long season...team always has hi's and lows. Hopefully they get hot again before too much damage is done. Pitching is a major concern right now though.

you don't just start playing alot in college
Without making excuses for them.... playing in college is alot different and a ton more demanding than playing summer ball, high school etc etc....
First and foremost you have school. Second playing 7 inning games in high school and (possibly) 9 innings during summer games is not comparible to playing 9 in college.... The mental demand alone will tire you out. I played in college and just to give you an idea of how crazy it could be some of us would lose 8-15lbs over the course of a season. After my frosh year i came back home and played summer ball with a tourney every weekend along with the normal weekday games and it was a relief. Oh and beer league/competitive softball doesn't count. Thats not in the same league.
