The "pod" is a pretty ridiculous name

Have you ever heard of anything related to football called a pod besides lsu lockers

How about divisions. And we can name them after conference legends like the NHL used to do.
Surely the SEC has many historical figures that we can memorialize in some way?

Agree. Just call it a damn division. There can be 4 divisions. Pod is definitely stupid.

The pod concept is stupid. Just stay with the East and West, 8 teams in each and our traditional conference championship game at the end of the season. Go to 9 conference games, with two being alternating cross conference games, and have 3 non-conference games.
