I NEVER SAID THAT MARSHALL AND BRENNAN LIKING THE HIRE MAKES IT A GOOD ONE

just pointing out that two of our top players are on board, and that holds a little weight for me

Sorry if half a gram of positivity sends you guys into an uproar, Jesus Christ

Yeah. Having a relationship with someone, trusting them, and wanting to play for them doesn't make them better at X's and O's.

players approval is a good sign.

Serious Question: in these types of situations, the promotion of someone already on staff, have you ever heard of the players not approving?

The players also wanted Archer to be coach when Arnsbarger left.
So the administration went with him instead of Spurier.

FWIW our top WR recruit, Terrace Marshall loves the Ensminger hire and knew about it BEFORE he committed

ok

Now let's look at it another way. The LSU offense has been well below average from a passing perspective for a long time now. Is it reasonable to think that the guy who can turn that around has been on the staff for 8 years?

AT BEST, we are going to see a still healthy running game and a below average passing attack...in other words, what we've seen for the past decade.

AT WORST, the rushing attack becomes not as dominant as it has been in the past and we struggle to be productive against teams that do not have an elite DL. That's when things really go to hell.

Not satisfactorily. Do you expect them to actively show displeasure ever?

But our bitchy fans' should?

The logic of this board astounds me.

Of course the players were excited. From all account, Ensminger is a really good dude. I'm sure they're very happy for him and want to ball out for him.

Doesn't mean it's going to work

Nobody ever said this... y’all just lash out at anyone who isn’t shitting on the program 24/7

Yea I lashed out too, but I’ve just had enough.. all I did was make a comment about Marshall liking E, and the mob came out to remind me how SE will never get the job done

Try to see both sides of this coin

No one has lashed out except you, man. Reread this thread later when you're a little more calm and you'll see.
