I often see the first five years of Les' tenure being credited to him working with Saban's players. But then there are lot of guys who want to run Les off because they think someone else will win more with Les' players. So my question is, if that happens will we then attribute the first four to five years of that guy's tenure to working with Les' players? Or does Nick still get the credit for all of it. I'll hang up and listen. . .

Ask Bobby Williams how having "Saban's Players" worked out for him in East Lansing.

Doesn't really matter.

The talent is close enough.

I think regarding LSU/Alabama-Les Miles/Nick Saban, you could apply Bum Phillips's saying to Saban's coaching against Les ...

"He can take your'n and beat his'n, or he can take his'n and beat your'n."

Actually, Miles has put more people in the NFL annually than Saban, there no difference in talent. There is a difference in results.

There's no doubt that that is exactly what will be said on the rant when Miles is gone. Good job GrandDad!

So he puts more guys in the NFL.... But I'm watching LSU games that aren't working out too well.

They'll claim he left the program in shambles. Just like they pretend Saban walked in here with nothing to work with

Very true. They'll say anything to make Miles look bad.

Same level of talent in my opinion. Saban's "process" vs Miles' is the difference.

Saban set the pay scale higher for our coaches. He only still gets that credit.
