Good work, but no way we make it to the NC with our QB play.

You started a thread about them winning the NC, I didn't read the novel you posted, sorry.

I said nothing about them winning it.

Shouldn't you expect a "novel" when the post title says "long"?

I agree with you. However, some people think that by posting this thread I somehow think LSU will win it all.

I think a championship this season is out of sight, but a BCS game is. You sir are one of the worst posters I have ever seen. An "all or nothing" kind of guy. Enjoy the team for what it is or if you think Les is such an "idiot" apply for his job, and let's see what you can do.

20-1 at best.

I thought you said this team was terrible. However, if our odds of winning out go from 30-1 right now, to 20-1 after beating Alabama, simple math says that means you give our odd of winning against Alabama at 3-2. Why would you give a shitty team such good odds agianst almighty Alabama?

My guess is that you are just talking out of your arse.

LSU v. TCU in the NC

TCU wins out and:

#1, #2, and #3 from above, plus...

4) Boise loss. Despite playing a weaker schedule than TCU, Boise is returning 21 starters from a team that beat TCU last year, and the human polls have taken notice. They have to lose for TCU to surpass them.

Chance of happening: 2/100

Psstt... TCU is currently ranked above Boise. TCU will beat the #5 team this weekend to enlarge that gap. Boise's only chance in hell at this point is for TCU to lose a game.

I understand that. However, as the season wears down, Boise is in position to get alot of mileage out of wins over VT, Oregon State, Nevada, and Hawaii. TCU can hang their hat on Utah and Oregon State. At the end of the season, the computers will be very close amongst both teams, but Boise will, I predict, get the edge in the human polls.

Not all or nothing at all my friend, I support this team in all ways shape and form. I haven't missed a home game since the mid 90's, away games every year, bowl games, TAF donations, LSU alumni donations, etc etc etc.

I have a problem with our head coach being a continued public embarrassment to the program, bumbling around like an un-educated child, and starting a QB that would struggle to start for a D3 school.

We as fans have a right to expect more out of a man who is charged with keeping our program as elite, not mediocre. He is extremely well compensated and should be held to a standard that fits his compensation.

Sorry if I seem negative, but I have just had enough of week after week after week, more acts of idiocy and no personal accountability of a QB who is the worst in CFB today.

Slackster -
I would be highly interested in the projections as they stand on Sunday morning. I'm glad you and matt have teamed up to give us some perspective on whatever chances are left for winning the MNC.

All of the speculation is based on winning out, which I feel our chances of actually doing it are drastically improved if we beat bama Sat.

I'm thankful for your contribution!

All of that is fine. There are multiple threads on the Rant that are discussing your same issues. If your issues are different, then you can start your own thread. However, if you would have read one iota into this thread, you would realize that you are in the wrong topic. This thread had one, LARGE, assumption that LSU wins out. If you do not think that is possible, then you should have stopped reading and went on your way. You brought this upon yourself.

Um.... Baylor is winning the Big 12 south currently and TCU spanked them, both boise and Tcu beat orgeon state but Tcu did it on a neutral field, hawaii isnt even ranked, and Nevada will be a 2 loss WAC team whose signature win is against a 4 loss soon to be 6+ loss cal team.

Not to mention at the end of the year Utah will still be ranked in the top 20 possibly top 15 even with a loss to TCU. Boise will not jump the Frogs unless they lose.

I understand your excitement. I have not horse in that race, but I would be willing to bet that undefeated Boise finishes higher than TCU come the end of the season. The computers will probably be a wash, but I think the human voters give them the nod.

Also, I know that Hawaii and Nevada are nothing special, but they are decent when it comes to the computers and they will pick up Boise's schedule, along with Va Tech.

Actually, if you think about TCU's wins if they go undefeated, their best would be Utah, Baylor (supposing they don't flop), Oregon State, San Diego State?

Boise will have, in order, Va Tech (probable ACC champ), Nevada (who projects to be Top 25 at season's end, which wipes out Baylor win), Oregon State, Hawaii, Toledo, and Fresno.

TCU will have the best win, with Utah, but after that, Boise's quality wins extend further into the schedule, while TCU fades fast after SDSU. Also, at the end of the day, when the voters look at both teams at 12-0, Boise has to get the nod with the humans since they beat a BETTER TCU team last year and returned 21 starters. Sorry brother.

Ok, we get it. TCU is awesome. WAY better than Boise. We'll see how things play out. Baylor could lose. Boise could lose. Hell, you could lose. Everybody could lose. Maybe slackster is just trying to predict what the scores will be at the end of the year instead of now. Let's give the dude the benefit of the doubt instead of busting his balls. Besides, he's trying to explain what would need to happen for LSU to get into the BCSMNC... not what would need to happen for TCU... or TCU over Boise.
