I don't recall everyone on here being Bucs fans last year, or Rams fans when Whitworth went to the Superbowl.

Maybe pay better attention. There was plenty of “Playoff Lenny” love on here as well as Devin White and Tyrann Matthieu when they went and won. Probably less so for Whitworth than the ones I mentioned. No one that I recall chose to use that as a reason to whine, which is exactly what you’re doing

Joe went to Ohio State before LSU. The others are original tigers.

So sick of this “true tiger” BS, like it’s some sort of pin you wear. You graduate or enter the draft from LSU, you’re a tiger. Doesn’t matter where you started.

What does race have to do with it? Whitworth, Fournette

If he throws a "pass" to those two, it won't end well.

I’ll give you that.
I never thought this thread was about race.
And to answer your question (which, to be sure, is really dumb).
1. Joe won the heisman. He had the greatest season by a college quarterback and led us to the greatest season in school history. It’s a no brainer we want him to continue to be great, because it’s a weekly affirmation that he was indeed tGOAT.
2. NFL analysts are talking about him like he’s the next great QB in this league and he’s OURS. How cool is that?
3. All the other people you mention have been there before, except chase, and there’s no shortage of love for chase around here.
4. The bengals turnaround has been the story of the season. It’s what cheesy sports dramas that we keep going back to see are made of. A lot of historic firsts.
5. He’s Joe Burrow. Deal with it.

Joe Burrow is as synonymous with LSU as a national champion as you can get and that is driving conversation about LSU still.
OBJ, Honey Badger, Fournette are all great players and represent LSU (not always the best).
Clyde gets love, but his relevance is a by-product of the team he is on.
Chase & Justin Jefferson get crazy hype as National Champions and deservedly so.
Joe is a national champion, a heisman winner, had arguably the best season ever for a QB wearing an lsu jersey and is known nationally for his skill at QB. He truly is in a stratosphere of his own when talking about former lsu greats.

Think about the trouble OBJ caused after the national championship game. That is why people aren't mentioning him.

That's one big damned rock you've been living under to not appreciate "why the love" . . .

Why is Joe Burrow the only ex-tiger getting all the love?
He’s not.
But to answer your question why he is celebrated…
I’ll quote the actor Al Pacino In his role as Coach Tony D’Amato in the film “Any Given Sunday”.
“You're a goddamn quarterback! You know what that means? It's the top spot, kid. It's the guy who takes the fall. It's the guy everybody's looking at first - the leader of a team - who will support you when they understand you. Who will break their ribs and their noses and their necks for you, because they believe. 'Cause you make them believe. That's a quarterback.”

Which Tiger is getting 24/7 NATIONAL media hype right now? That’s why JB is talked about more.

Fournette and Devin White actually won a superbowl and did not get this much love. Joe still have to get pass Aaron Donald and Von Miller.
Did either of them win the Heisman by the largest vote total ever before leading LSU to a 15-0 national championship in what many consider to be the greatest season of all time?
Devin White is basically universally loved as a former Tiger and got tons of love last year throughout the season and leading up to the Super Bowl. But Joe is Joe. This is very simple to understand.

What about Chase, Fournette, Helire, the Honeybadger,or Beckham
Then last year everyone wanted Fournette and White to get theirs, numerous threads how Fournette is more successful than Henry because of the Super Bowl.

You really wanted this to be about race huh? What does talking about football have to do with race? I just randomly mentioned names. I find that strange. guilty?
No seas mamón.

You're probably not an LSU fan if u don't know why we love the guy.
I like the other LSU players u listed as well. You probably just have some ax to grind.

Lol you know the answer you just don't understand the magnitude of Burrows accomplishment. I love all the other mentioned Tigers but when you find one who puts his team on his shoulders and guides them to a National championship and wins a Heisman to boot and a spot in Superbowl with a team that won 6 games in two years before Joe got there than I will put them on a pedestal with Burrow. Till than go frick yourself for not understanding.
