Q2 Bama just scored and we are down 16-0 just got the ball back and have 3rd and 4. Burrow is flushed from the pocket, rolls right, and has the LBer to beat for a first down and possibly much more. Instead of trying to make a play Burrow just throws it away and we go 3 and out. We give the ball back to Bama and they run the clock out to go to half.

It is plays like this that against Bama you have to make. We get the first down and make some plays to score and it is a 1 score game going into halftime. This team was playing scared and it’s sucks watching.

Agree, this comes from the top. What in the hell are the coaches telling the team leading up to the game? Seems that the players had no confidence in the plan or lost confidence quickly once they learned that shite wasn't working.

Where in the hell is this "shadow staff" and how can all this money not employ someone who can accurately evaluate what this team is capable of?

Burrow isn’t good enough to make a play there

Yes, and looks like Alabama knew it more that our own coaches.

Run. Make a play. Even if you come up a yard short you can think about going for it on 4th down. You need to keep the situation in mind.

It doesn’t matter if that was the punter you know the situation and try to make a play. That told me everything about this game.

I'm glad you pointed that out. I remember when you played college football. You ever made a mistake like that did you?

Agreed, that play pissed me off just as much as any did if not more. Zero effort! I knew right then and for sure after we went 3 and out to start the 2nd half we were done!

I'm sorry, but the game was already over. We fricked up by letting Bama get the ball back at 9-0.

Schematically yes realistically no. It was still a two score game and we got the ball back after half.

He’s just not that good right now, especially when having to play from behind. We’ve been fortunate not put him in that position very much this season.

Can he improve? Of course, but with this coaching staff, who the hell knows.

I’m not talking about his play in the game. I’m taking about his will to play in this game, more specifically one play. What happened to the burrow that didn’t slide early on? He had one guy to beat on this play and he just tossed it into the stands on a critical 3rd down.

Winning the toss and letting Bama have the ball first just by itself was stupid. LSU snapped the ball very early in the count on multiple occasions when they should have been more wary of killing the clock in that first half. These things allowed time for Bama to stretch their lead late in the second quarter. Also, this has NOTHING to do with the talent level at the line of scrimmage but rather the approach taken by the coaching staff.
