Why yes, that is the ultimate goal. Nothing would make us happier than to increase our fan base enough so that we can be self-supporting. That would be very nice indeed.

It's the fact that he made it a point to say "UL" is a statewide school, along with La Tech and UNO, and the other 10 schools are regional. Then the link he posts to back up his argument has ULL. ULL fans think that just because they won a couple New Orleans bowls and have one good year in baseball(which they've won the SBC tourney, but nothing else yet) they can suddenly become THE University of Louisiana. It wasn't that long ago that they were the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

The law was so that no system school took a higher level of importance over another. ULL is equal in importance to ULM. Sorry bud lol
