Congrats to ULL, but you guys don't need to get too cocky just yet. For one thing, the LSU pitcher you beat isn't even on the team now.

For another thing, its LSU that has the pedigree....#6CWSTITLES.

If we meet in Omaha, it will be fun.

It is not about a uniform. It is about a regional school trying to be called the University of Louisiana. No one else in the state wants or supports this movement. It is really that simple, but ULL people want to pretend they think everyone else is being unreasonable for stopping their lie. ULL is a fine public university representing Acadiana. And that's it.

You could not be more wrong. While lsu is the flagship, UL, LaTech and UNO are desiginated as 'Statewide.' The remaining ten schools are 'Regional.'

Are you showing off that fine UL-L education again???

BTW, link please to your claim. Is UL-M also statewide?

How did we get to this "what is the name of your school"? Let me give errbody a history lesson. Tulane is THE University of Louisiana. The university was founded as the Medical College of Louisiana in 1834 partly as a response to the fears of smallpox, yellow fever and cholera in the United States. The university became only the second medical school in the South, and the 15th in the United States at the time. In 1847, the state legislature established the school as the University of Louisiana, a public university.Paul Tulane, owner of a prospering dry goods and clothing business, donated extensive real estate within New Orleans for the support of education. This donation led to the establishment of a Tulane Educational Fund (TEF). In response, through the influence of former Civil War general Randall Lee Gibson, the Louisiana state legislature transferred control of the University of Louisiana to the administrators of the TEF in 1884. This act created the Tulane University of Louisiana. Read it and weep U of Lafayette Louisiana.

I would love for this team to get another crack at ULL, so for that reason I am pulling for them.

No one will know who to cheer for. It should be glorious.

They'd want ULL to lose. But that means Ole Miss would make it to Omaha.
