If I’m being honest, I think the offense is going to be really bad.

Single digit? You might be asking a bit too much.

For me, the most encouraging new info is how Haskins performed. If the reports that Burrow and Haskins were neck-and-neck is anywhere close to accurate, I am more optimistic today than before yesterday.

Orgeron said Burrow and Brennan were neck and neck too. How Burrow plays is the one thing I just can't wait to see. I posted this in the CST Gameday thread as well, they were showing Burrow's footwork in the pocket and the way he was shuffling to avoid the rush while keeping his eyes downfield was elite. He looked like an NFL quarterback in that sense.

LSU fans love to get their hopes up to be let down. Not saying we’re gonna be shite or we’re gonna lose or anything but damn, temper your expectations. We have 0 reasons to think this is gonna be a great offense and the people who start these threads will be the same ones bitching when we don’t score 35 points and Burrow doesnt throw for 300 yards. Just expect LSU to be great on defense, improved in special teams and have to fight and scrape by on offense to win games early in the season and hopefully improve as the season goes on. That’s a realistic expectation. If we exceed that, then awesome!

You don't think a new QB, questionable OL, new RBs, and a OC who hasn't run his own offense in 20 years will take some time to gel and get in a rhythm? They have the potential to explode but expect a lot of hiccups and kinks to be worked out in the first few weeks at least.

No way man. Eaux was forced to hire Canada last year but now he's got his guy calling plays. He's got the guy he trusts and wanted all along before he was forced to hire someone else.

Plus Burrow....this offense will be elite

I have a feeling they will be explosive as well. Not a belief, just a feeling.

Like the rest of you, I’ve endured years of poor QB play and the stubbornness of running into the teeth of a 10 man front. Yet, they still put average points on the board.

And when this same dynamic duo took over the reigns mid way through, with the same talent, they did for all intents and purposes explode during a mostly SEC ladden stretch of the schedule. So yeah, there is reason for optimism.

I’m optimistic these guys will try (at least try) to not run into a 10 man front, over and over again. Anyone, literally anyone, can improve on that nonesense.

To me, the offensive line will be what makes or breaks Joe Burrow. From what I have seen of him, he looks pretty good. The rest will lie on the offensive line and what Ensminger can or can't get done with him
