The obligatory, who can we steal off of A&M's recruiting class

Aggie has the #1 class right now. The one player I know we were in a fight for was LB Caden Henderson out of Tampa and Zyron Forstall was a N.O. kid that transferred to IMG.

These kids don't really care about wins and losses as much as you think. They are going to the highest bidder. If anything, A&M boosters might be more desperate now and pay even more to these guys.

If a kid from Florida, DC, or Cali commits to A&M, it is purely about NIL and development & culture aren’t their priorities. I rather those kids commit somewhere else if our coaches don’t pursue

I wouldn't say every kid is like that. Especially if the offers are close. The smart money move is to take less money now for a better draft grade later that comes along with better coaching and development. But if you are getting offered double then I can see why kids take the quick money over development.

The angle that I like here is that they have a lot of Texas/Fla/Ga guys. And also Forstall.
I want more Texas guys than Arizona/Maryland/California guys.

You can steal just about anyone who isn't a legacy player these days if you throw enough money at them.

Recruiting is totally different these days. Flips rarely happen anymore. Wouldnt count on it.

Who cares about getting great high school classes these days? The transfer portal is where it’s at.

Agree 100%, I would much rather finish #1 in transfer portal recruiting than HS recruiting. You have evidence for the college players whether they can perform or not...for a lot of HS studs, it is just a crap shoot because they haven't faced the caliber of the competition yet on Saturdays.
