Looking at his other post I don't think so.

In any case, I think everyone can agree the program has definitely fallen off the cliff.

Thanks saints fan. I actually feel better about nc after the post video...good for her. And I am rooting for her. The transfers hurt big time and I heard neither were nc fault. Guess the Hampton loss got me. Still want to see more but guess that's true of all fans. Also think this years team can surprise on upside if stay healthy and current state of sec.

secman12...the king of bitching about Olympic Sports at LSU

thanks..I guess, I love all LSU sports and support on this baord more than I rant...BUT I do not think we should have ANY sports that we do not at least try and win...by win I mean we should win sec or at least come close every 5-10 years or so or not have the sport, IMHO, Football, MB,WB,SB, Track all are doing fine (more than fine in some cases) BUT some "other sports" are IMO are not fine...or even close and to me that is not acceptable. As far as WB, I LOVE NC hire but am a bit disapointed about it so far, but 100% agree NC is likely to win big here, losing to Hampton is again..IMHO TERRIBLE

What happened to the Baker girl from Helen Cox? I know she was suspended to start the year but she has not been in box for last few games.

As a man who has recently had a child I think I can say this pretty easily....There is absolutely no way in hell a woman that just had a child can give the time it takes to lead an athletics team at least for the first year or so after birth of said child.

I'd assume that at least has a little to do with the drop off.

I still think we need to give this team some time. They're gonna take their lumps. Lets see how the team looks in January once SEC play starts. Right now, they're playing with 3 new starters and a bunch of freshmen. Give it time. I don't think that Nikki thinks she's better than this job. When she accepted it, it was one of the top jobs in women's college basketball, facility-wise, and salary-wise. Again, I think this team is going to struggle for half of this season. But, I believe with some time LSU will be back among the elite.

Point taken...but I think she has a great support system to help. I recall reading that her mother moved down here from Tennessee to help take care of the child and the fiancee is also here full time. It helps when you have a mother who can do that and a fiancee who was a pro athlete who didnt blow all of his money and doesnt have to work.

Rumor has it that she is a "bad apple".

wow, you have guts, you are going to get buried for that one...but I agree, and keep in mind we had TWO coaches give birth in last 7 months...I 100% support (of course) there having kids, but do agree it takes time away from team when half the staff has young babies, but once again it is about the next few years and I think we CAN get back to top 10, but for the last time, I am not really happy with things so far on the court

Absolutely, Van was a huge disappointment who left the cupboard bare--an example of a coach who aged quickly & whose coaching performance went downhill quickly at LSU, after being a solid WNBA coach previously.

Let's not write off Nikki Caldwell just yet--I still think she can make the team a winner.

Do some of you now wish Tennessee had hired her to succeed Summitt?

I am gald NC is the coach and that TN did not hire her, having said that it is based on fact I think she can get us back in top 20/10 consistently and will stay at least 5-7 years. For the time of the hire, I like it. Not sure who would have been better and she added much needed energy to program- but now she needs to win..at least a bit this year and more next...

We should shut women's basketball down and use the extra money to hire a good offensive coordinator.

They don't use offensive coordinators in basketball genius.

Nikki Caldwell can coach. Just be patient, and you will see how successful she will become.
