Did any of experts say something inaccurate? They are paid to provide "analysis" such as that may be regarding CFB. What the STAFF does on game day is open to all to see and criticize. Hindsight is nearly always clearer, but some decisions defy any reasonable justification, think clock management. That gaffe cost LSU a BCS bowl and some big money and that is the bottom line.
Let's see what happens next, but history suggests abundant disappointment...

I think about this every time I see tune in to the scoreboard and see Mark May and Lou talking football.

People go to LSU because of the tradition and the facilities more than they go to play for an incompetent like Less Miles. However, if Less Miles is going to keep embarrassing LSU in front of a national audience, you can expect recruiting to eventually be hurt unless and until the LSU administration restores competency to the program.

The thing about the media is they take what others in the media report as fact and expound upon it. In the case of LSU/UNC the common theme was UNC was playing a bunch of talentless walk-on scrubs against LSU. The reality is all of the replacement players on the DL were highly recruited blue chip players that were 4* and 5* players that were just lacking starting experience. All the linebackers were regular starters and their passing offence was largely unaffected. That is an important fact since they were playing from behind the entire second half. All the bashing of LSU is based on the incorrect assumption that LSU had way more experience and talent on the field based on the players that missed the game.
These were the UNC players that replaced their starters on the D-line...

Is this how you felt when you were recruited? LSU's facilities are great but there are dozens of schools whith great facilities.

Most of the national audience saw a thrilling football game that LSU wnd its coach WON.
What game did they show you at the institution?

And what do you expect, did you watch the game Saturday? And according to you, whose fault is it, the players or the coaching staff? Dude the criticism is justified and all this unfavorable condemnation upon the coaching staff is the fault of the coaching staff. Get over yourself!
After blowing a lead to a severely depleted UNC team the criticism is justified. Those who can't see it are fuggin idiots. I love LSU, support Coach Miles but that was a debacle. It deserves criticism.
Hopefully it will help the staff tighten things up a bit.

The Ole Miss clock thing was stupid for sure. Not the "clock it" or the "where was the field goal unit with 1 second (see Navy/Maryland game)", it was the "no time out for 17 seconds". I was walking up the stairs at the the game the minute the pass was caught because I knew the game was over. It was stupid.
It did NOT cost us a BCS Bowl bid. We went to the same bowl we would have gone to had we won the game. Still, it was no excuse for losing.

I had been saying the same thing but you did such a good job of digging up the facts I had to post them again.

i love how NOW that it was a close game LSU almost lost, they were talented blue chip players, but in the days leading up to the game it was...LSU is gonna destroy them....its gonna be ugly.....they dont stand a chance....etc...

You should pay closer attention to David Pollack. He actually said "yeah, dude" on today's show when talking to another one of the "experts". He is comedy at it's finest. Probably has 6 red bull's before each show.

OT, but your sig pic cracks me up...I was laughing after the long TD to RR not just because of the score but because RR showed the tiniest bit of emotion afterward.

I'm not saying that criticism of CLM or our performance against NC is unwarranted. I merely think that many of the criticisms put forth by the 'fans' and the media are sometimes outside of what is justified. The media is made up of a bunch of fricking morons (I say this as a reformed member of the media)...they have their biases, no fricking doubt (see the ND/Weiss cocksucking as the perfect example). So even if CLM deserves a huge amount of criticism, I am NEVER going to use the media as a barometer of whether or not said criticism is justified.
