Every time LSU appears and pay for play is discussed (rightly or not) there is a greater chance the Golden Child $$ion will be mentioned, along with Duke, NC, etc.

The NCAA will want this to end so they can sell the Shining Moment and the amazing story of their “Student Athletes.”

Get ready for some interesting officiating.

They seem content to put us in the worst time slot instead.

For a lot of reasons I really hope LSU meets Duke in the Elite 8. The media would be so awesome.

Keep winning and none of this matters.

I concur, i was shocked we didn't get rung up. I expect something different tomorrow, as I think OP has a point.

NCAA does not want LSU making a run.

No doubt. Please keep repeating this every time LSU loses concentration on defense in the second half, lazily settles for stupid shots in the second half, and Maryland makes big shots in the second half. The same thing happens every game, Wade or no Wade. LSU has been fortunate to win most of these, getting several fortunate late calls. You play with fire ...

I hope you’re wrong but I look back at the SEC Tournament and 24-10 foul disparity in the Florida game. That was the only game in the tourney with a bizarre difference like that. I can only think the word came down to get LSU out of this tournament. You all saw this game. Florida didn’t win that. The SEC did. Throw in Alleva with his childish comments yesterday and his blatant NCAA asskissing and it could be deja vu all over again.

We are LITERALLY the only game on while we play. This is usually the "duke" time slot. The ENTIRE COUNTRY will be watching the LSU game. The lack of self esteem in our state is mind boggling. Everyone is not out to get us. One caveat, the sec does hook bama up in fb, especially with the east/ west scheduling.

no matter what happens to LSU, this issue isn't going to go away. nailing us will do NOTHING to clean up college basketball. there will probably be a couple of other schools nailed but the big boys will probably be left alone. the FACT is that buying the top players through "middle men" has been going on for a LONG time and will continue to do so. colleges are NOT victims, esp the ones that produce as much basketball revenue as we do in football. I also think the AAU has been turning it's back on this for years. this system will just adapt and the FBI will move on. besides, a lot of people have no problem with buying players, sad as it is. the massive amounts of money generated by basketball (and football of course) has ruined it's reputation as an amateur sport and there's no going back. these two sports are merely the minor leagues for the pros.

as far as LSU goes, we are merely upsetting the established balance and WW getting caught on the wiretaps only makes some of these asshats mad because they think we may screw up the "system" in place.

Some AAU coaches are very complicit in pay for players that happen at ALL major schools. I know of one here that placed 5 in one year at LSU. Coaches were aware. I’m not blaming them; this is one of the costs of competing in the NCAA. I’d love to see a prime time in depth report on what it cost Duke and the “legendary “ Coach K to get Zion. How about it Vitale? Got the nuts? Didn’t think so. Geaux Tigers!

Last night between games, one of the panels was saying LSU has as much talent as any team in the field. Guess they don’t count?

If you’re right, we need a new coach.
