Correct.
At the same time, losing to Troy does not mean they'll lose the rest of the games.
If you're willing to use logic (a remarkable achievement for this forum) then you'll understand each week is different, teams improve, worsen, have injuries, have players return from injury. This phenomenon plays out over the course of the season.

That's where you're wrong.
Score tonight says it all boys. We've been going downhill since that new year's loss to Clemson a few years back. Looks like were on the right track now.
Now it's clear that beating Syracuse was the most critical win of the season. Also explains the Troy loss. LSU was just coming off an emotional victory when they ran into the buzzsaw of Troy.
In conclusion, O may not be as bad as we think.

Syracuse has losses to Middle Tennessee, LSU and NC State, and wins over CLEMSON, Pitt, Central Michigan and a Div II opponent.

Syracuse beating Clemson is a great upset and will be remembered by Syracuse fans for ages. Ex: LSU upset of UF in 1997. But it doesn't make 4-3 Syracuse good and it doesn't make any difference to an LSU team that lost to MSU by 30 and to Troy at home.

Well it means we didn't lose to a team that was capable of beating the #2 team in the nation.

This is my point. This board is full of stupid.
In regards to LSU, Syracuse beating Clemson has equal value to South Alabama beating Troy. Which is zero.

It's CBS, though. Move that back to 8 pm.

Lesson to be learn. Clemson loses to a crappy team every year. Don’t be “that team” hiring an OC based on an expected Clemson loss.

It means even the best of teams are capable of laying an egg, no matter how hard the coaches coach.
The Syracuse win makes me feel better, so FU! One less chest-beating team to hear about.

Laugh at Clemson all you want, but if LSU had played at Syracuse this year instead of 2015, we don't win that game

Didn't LF run for a thousand yards on 4 carries that game?

Excellent point. Yes, 8pm then.

Impressive isn't a word I would use, let alone "more impressive".
It doesn't make it look "impressive"; Syracuse isn't good at all. All I was trying to communicate is that it makes our win "more impressive" than it seemed before last night.
