85 Bama
86 Ole Miss
all we needed was a kicker

Thanks...I kind of realized that after I posted but I appreciate the assist.
Also throw in AU 2001....game moved because of 9-11...onside kick for the opening kickoff...

1982 vs Tulane
I sat through that rainy debacle.
1984 vs Tulane when they called the game with time left on the clock because of fights after every play.

OSU game in 2004 was the first one that came to mind

Many good choices here.
I'll add the '82 Florida St.
The oranges
The penalties
The weird fog

Troy 2008 - potentially horrific upset denied by crazy 4th quarter comeback
This right here. LSU behind Troy State 31-3 in the third quarter and winning was about as bizarre as it gets.

Fog game vs Florida st.
This is the only answer.
So much fog, so many oranges. The fog was pretty thick outside the stadium, but at around half, it reached the top of the bowl and poured in.
To this day one of my favorite games.

1998 Georgia @ LSU
Quincy Carter looked like the best QB in the nation.

2005 auburn
Their running back predicts 200 rushing yards (and gets them)
Kicker misses 5 fg's including one in OT to give LSU the win
Still my favorite game I've ever been to.

2010 Tennessee, the blue grass miracle, and when iowa beat us with a hail mary in the capital one bowl

quote:MONDAY, September 26. Hottest game I ever went to in Tiger Stadium - including day games. The Monday night atmosphere was surreal, to say the least. Everybody still recovering from Katrina just weeks before. Like an out-of-body experience. The Twilight Zone.
Tennessee 2005 - first home game after Katrina. Start off hot then wut?

2010 North Carolina was weird as hell too. Half of their team is suspended just prior to the game. LSU wears their arse out by halftime and we go up 30-10. We kind of have it on cruise until the 4th quarter when they mount a furious comeback. They get it to 24-30 with seconds left on the clock before throwing back to back incompletions into the endzone from about the 5 yard line. It felt like we had just lost the season opener leaving that game.
I was there for that one - sweatin' like a ho in church

The Miami(Ohio) game back in the day can't recall the year...still pissed we lost that game
Posted on 8/1/15 at 9:28 pm to Samso
I've seen a lot of LSU football games. the most bizarre was when Miami of Ohio came to town (about 30 yrs ago?). they beat us. we killed them statistic wise but just couldn't score. the game wasn't even close but they ended up with the win. it was bizarre to say the least

GrandDad as I recall Tigers had 7 turnovers in that game on like 9 possessions(Miami Ohio). Many good examples here but it is hard to top 2010 Tennessee game for the bizarre factor. Good thread OP

I was there. That was Arnsparger's last year and his alma mater. 1986.

There was a game after Katrina where we had to go on the road and play. Was it Appalachian State?
I seem to remember a bunch of clutch blocked kicks and an epic Jamarcus pass for the win.
Arizona State
We blocked both a FG and a punt, and returned each for TD's. Jamarcus threw that infamous TD to Early Doucet on 4th and 10. That was a pretty fitting first game for Miles
