The Miami game is the blueprint for combating Trinidad

I rewatched the highlights of the game and tbh …. Miami really bottled up ole Miss. outside of the explosive lacy run, they suffocated the run game, and defensively they gave Trinidad fits .
Yes on paper ole Miss scored 27 and Trinidad threw for 277 but Miami dropped about 4 interceptions that game and their d line got after him and for the most
Part contained his legs . Badly timed penalties, their no.1 corner getting injured and blown coverage were really the only times ole miss was moving the ball on their defense.
If we we contain lacy , im confident we bottle up this ole Miss offense. Even in the terrifc gsme Trinidad had vs Georgia , lacy had over 100 yards that game he’s the true engine that makes Trinidad his full best self. You shut off the engine in lacy , our pass rush will tee off and have Trinidad running for his life.

Miami had 2 first round draft picks at edge.
O wait, LSU might have 2 as well

We held them to 24 last season with no offense to spare the D. 27-17 Tigers win Saturday

Hell Louisville had a solid game plan too until they started leaving Alexander one on one with a back up corner

That Ole Miss team was a lot better than this year’s version.
They had a much better Offense last year….OL, WR, TE were really good. They lost a lot up front.
We took their two best Defensive players.
They have three new starters at the safety and star spots which haven’t jelled, and are responsible for some busts in both games.
They still have Chambliss and Lacy which are two very good players. The media will always latch on to offense. And they could make enough plays to beat us.
It will be tough, but I trust this staff to give us the best chance to win.
