You can look at all the statistics in the world and I do realize that Clemson has won with two 5* dual threat QB's...

BUT

The real reason I think Clemson is able to take down Bama when no one else can is the fact that they don't play scared.

Dabo has an unbelievable knack for instilling confidence and belief in his players. They execute phenomenally, especially in high stakes situations. They DOMINATED with a true freshman QB and one of their best D-lineman out of the game.

On the flip side, just look at LSU and Georgia. Coach O was mentally defeated before the ball was even snapped this year. He and Ensminger coach scared in every single game during the second half. Likewise, Kirby, who coached under Saban, folded like a cheap suit and blew TWO first half leads in a row.

Ultimately, this is why I never see LSU (or any SEC team) beating Alabama in the near future. We don't coach to win like Clemson. We coach and play to not lose.

Their intensity last night was unmatched. Would be nice to see LSU play like that.

He's a prodigy

The question is do you think Coach O and this staff could lead Clemson to a title this year with a full offseason? idk...

They had a good oline and we didn't.

I think it has more to do with Clemson slowing down bama’s rush and being able to throw downfield.

How come Georgia didn't win then?

That's part of it but the Oline is a major factor

You think the main difference is just costing and not talent?

Trevor Lawrence would be #1 overall if he could come out this year
Travis Etienne is a heisman caliber RB
Justyn Ross and Tee Higgins are for sure 1st round talents
They have NFL Olineman
They have 3 guys playing on the line that are top 2 round picks even without Dexter Lawrence.
And a veteran secondary.

Need a QB and to be able to play with them in the trenches.

This is a huge factor. They do not believe and that is on Mr. Ed.

Yes because UGA had equal/better talent and they coasted in the second half and LOST

two years in a row

We have 5* caliber players (except for QB) on every position group you named next year. Talent is not the issue. We can play up to their level. Yet we don't. That's a loser's mentality. That's playing scared and knowing Bama has beaten us 8x in a row. No excuses

Well you have to coach not scared first. It starts with Dabo. He ain't scared.

His offense actually goes on offense against bama's stacked in the box defense.

Nick Saban is so far into LSUs head that I dont think it will change till he retires. He also makes a point to try and steal our biggest recruits and often wins that battle. Saban is also pissed we didnt fire Miles and welcome him back with open arms after he dumped us so he puts extra emphasis on beating us every year. Extra antler spray for everyone

a lot easier for a qb to not play scared when he’s not running for his life

Oh that’s it

Attitude.

It’s easier not to play scared when you’re really really good.

LSU plays to compete with Bama and not win. Look to the offensive line and OC. Offensive philosophy

They don’t have a miserable fan base who shite on their coach every chance they get.

Ok what do I win.

Bama's rush was only slowed down in the red-zone (where it counted). Between the 20's bama was running really well.

and being able to throw downfield.

That's because Dabo simply recognized that bama's defense is loading the box and forcing their CB's into man coverage.

Coach E responds by leaving an extra blocker to handle the overloaded bama D.

Dabo responds by spreading bama out, using Renfrow and his RB as emergency outlets for Lawrence, and allowing his talented WRs to beat bama's CBs down field.

One approach is being scared. It's a defensive offense mentality.

The other approach is not being scared. It's an offensive offense mentality.
