Why do you listen?

It's usually about one segment of straight up sports and the rest is gambling.
It's been like that from the start. He used to toss in a bit of sports talk now and then, but it was mostly his bookie show. Once sports betting became legal, he pretty much ditched the sports part altogether.

There are now way too many gambling shows, gambling ads and "celebrities" endorsing gambling on TV and radio.
Remind me again why Shoeless Joe Jackson and Pete Rose aren't in the Hall of Fame and why Paul Hornung and Alex Karras were suspended.
Apparently, I'm told, the number of gambling-related shows on radio has grown exponentially around the country with the growth of online betting.
Ott must draw an audience or he wouldn't have a show. The noon time slot is traditionally hard to sell, but Ott probably pays his own way by doing those remotes five days a week.

It’s so bad. It’s also hilarious how Jimmy condescendingly talks down to “casual” bettors, while bringing on 50 touts that he claims are sharps. Between that and Ott constantly cutting off people, talking over people, etc it is the worst sports show on radio.

Total waste of Hanny putting him on with that clown. Nothing but betting BS. Hanny is a wealth of LSU knowledge and he’s stuck with this guy talking about betting nonstop

I know I don't anymore. Back in the day when Ott strictly talked sports, he was actually pretty damn good. Unfortunately I don't listen to Hanny anymore either because of him being tied with Ott. They talk sports betting about 90% of the time.
I do agree that Hunt and Hanny together would be pretty good.

Until people pull their advertising money from 104.5 due to not liking Ott, nothing will change. I just turn it off when he is on. When he goes on vacation, it’s a solid show. Jimmy just comes off as a prick. Maybe in real life he isn’t but on radio he damn sure seems like it.

Yup, Ott must be a decent salesman.
