If we play them, it will be close I mean we haven't blown anyone out all year that had a pulse. The Aggies will probably be more motivated than LSU, Les will have to put on one of his better performances to get the boys pumped and well JJ need I say more.

We know how LSU has performed in the post season under Miles. Give him time to prepare and we kick arse.

Pretty accurate post; however, ATM would have absolutely agreed to play LSU in a series if they felt like they had a decent shot to beat LSU. Ags looking through maroon colored glasses are hiding behind the "LSU can't be trusted to keep its word" argument regarding recent talks to renew the LSU/ATM series.

Also, LSU would have come out ahead financially even if they paid the 400k because all replacement games were with smaller schools that all came to play in Tiger Stadium.

This is what I posted on the site (had an account from a few years back):

Texas a&m fans (better known as UT's little sisters) need to calm down before they embarass themselves. a&m is not even a pimple on LSU's arse.

If the worst luck in a&m history gives the faggies a chance to play the elite program of LSU, the score will be as follows (if we take it easy on you):

LSU 38
a&m 6

This SEC is not the little 12 or whatever they call themselves after a couple of schools bail out because they know how poor the conference is becoming.

I love the way Aggies throw this label around.
You are very far away from being the WC.

My Aggie sister in law thought it started in 1997.

I was like ,
she didn't realize the strenghth of A&M was from the 80's defense when it began.

FYI--WC defense ranked #52
Nebraska, I guess can use the Term Black Shirts, they are ranked #5

We are 9th, I guess that's all we need to do all game is yell Chinese Bandits!!!

BenHOGan/OzChuffNugg,
I made no excuses for the loss, but I put the loss more on our sloppy play than anything else. A loss is a loss no matter how it comes, but most of our earlier season problems have become some of our later season strengths.

I haven't followed Arkansas, so I can't really testify to how they have grown over the season, but my statement was that I would take our team now vs Arkansas then and make my bet the Ag's win. I have no clue how Arkansas has changed or grown over the season, and my first post was not an attempt at revisionist history. I wasn't trying to play the game of ifs, just the major reasons we lost that game.

In regards to 'tell it to the arky fans', my comment was in response to an LSU poster posing the question/situation of how we played against Arkansas, so obviously at least one person with LSU in their username 'gives a shite' who wasn't you, so you could not give a shite all you want, but my response wasn't to you in the first place.

Ironic.

What's Les going to eat when he has to play on Astroturf?

Two things....You can't surmise that the ags would fare better in a game now due to the fact that they have improved, yet give no weight to the fact that Arkansas too has improved. We were one-dimensional offensively, and we were porous at best defensively when we met in Dallas. Since then, we have developed one of the best running games in the SEC, with the top rusher (non Cam Newton division) in the league. And this rusher accomplished this after only becoming the feature back 5 games into the season. There is no doubt that Tanneyhill has given the ags a whole new personality on offense, and he is someone to account for. But we have had similarly dramatic breakthroughs on our squad as well.

Secondly, you attribute the loss to the Hogs as mostly sloppy play on your part. This is a fallacy of the highest order. Again, this argument does not account for the Hogs on the other side of the line of scrimmage causing said sloppy play. Furthermore, I could just as easily engage in the same fallacious reasoning to say that the Hogs played a pretty sloppy game. Doing so would give no credit to the scheming or execution on the part of the ags to disrupt Arkansas. The bottom line was that, just like against LSU, we were the team better equipped to overcome miscues and execute on more plays.

And in the end, I would say that if Arkansas and the ags lined up again this weekend, we would still hold that advantage.

Then quote it or show that you were talking to that person, don't just make a general response to the whole rant. And using the fact I don't have LSU in my user name as a way to support your argument. That is some quality shite you must be a well educated fella.

I hope that LSU really does owe the Aggies $400,000 so that we can say to them, "Yeah, prick, we got your money, frick you, you ain't gettin it back."

one of the first lsu games i went to was vs aTm in 86, harvey williams first game as a tiger. sat in the ag section and iirc they went up early. best thing i remember other than the win was a mickey guidry to sammy martin pass where martin split the defenders and ran forever.

Tex Am is playing Arkansas in Dallas for 8 more years. I doubt they want 2 sec whoopings a year.

Btw I dang near fell asleep from boredom during our game with them this year. We were flat as hell from the Bama game and it showed.

Shouldnt the Ags think that it is 400k well lost.

IF they had continued the series through the last decade or more, they may have lost ten in a row.......maybe going down to a different division or just tearing down the stadium

No, the best thing that ever happened to them was LSU not wanting to go home and home. It would have been ugly, they may not have been able to complete games against the 2003 team, or the 2006 team.
