He should have been in there the last series in regulation

plenty people have questioned miles on personell decisions, clock management, being confused on the sideline, etc... its not just this year. does every one of your posts have to be so stupid? don't be so dumb.

Hopefully Charles Scott returns next year. I dont know why people have alot of backs being ranked better than him. I compare him to the style of play of Chris Wells.

i for sure got he impression during the game that scott wanted to/could have carried this team, even if they put 26 in the box....we'll never know...
Posted on 11/13/08 at 4:21 pm to TigerTreyjpg
they had 8 in the box on first down and CS picks up 6. second and four RM and the "crazy tiger" loses 2??? why not CS up the gut again and again and again... LM didn't hesitate to put the ball in Hester's gut with 10 in the box last year...

Everybody is a Monday morning Q.B., but you have to line-up and run Charles on second down and even third down after picking up 5 yards on first down and (Not the time nor place to run wildcat-wildtiger r whatever you want to call it.)

This is not the 1970's anymore. In the SEC, you better have some semblence of a passing game or you won't be able to run the ball very well.

"you better have some semblence of a passing game"
Well in 1970 10 yards resulted in a first down as it does in 2008 (semblence of passing game)3 INT'S not enough...let Charles Scott run the damn ball on second down

You don't want to throw your only able bodied QB under the bus. Why do we question Miles now that we aren't winning a national championship? Nobody questioned Miles when he kicked Perriloux off the team or when he went for 4th down in the Florida game. Get off the guys back and let him coach. As for Scott, he is a beast and we are lucky to have him this year.
I have always wondered this about LSU fans.
Bama fans don't question our coaches like that.

I guess you think 14 points is a lot for an offense to score in today's college football?
Please go back to 1965. It's quite pleasant there, and I know you'll enjoy it. There's no need to worry about another team running a spread offense and hanging 50 on your defense. 10 punts a game is average, and each score is like a juicy morsel.

"Yes, let's just concede to Nick Saban that we won't be passing the ball on his defense. He's free to stack the box with 9 or 10 cuz no way will we be throwing the ball.

I for one am a Lee fan, But in the context of this thread I was refering to overtime, When you run 5 yards on first down, with points at a premium not to metion a very fragile Q.B. you have to give it to Scott on second down not some lame arse wildcat/wild tiger play and throw to a receiver doubled cover on third down. I would rather concede with trying something that might work verse giving him the game like we did.

Also, on a side note: apparently Miles never yells at Lee or gets in his face. Its always just a pat on the back and a "you'll get 'em next time."
is this what he needs or should he be ripped into? After
You're right. We should fire The Hat. Clearly if you take 10000 rantards and ad them together you have more football knowledge than one coach getting paid millions of dollars. We know the team much better than him. Just because he spends all week with them in practice doesn't mean that the sum total of all of the nothing that we individually know doesn't add up to more than him.

he would carry the team, put it on his shoulders and he'd get it done.
Perfect attitude! Can't ask for any more than that.
Got Ole Miss, Arkansas and bowl game ahead and this is exactly who you want in the backfield.
Got to make defenses play us honest. If not then its just Scott trying to move the pile.

I get the feeling that he's aggrevated they don't use him more in clutch situations. In third and short last year we knew one thing: that Hester was going to bulldoze and will himself all 3 yards. Why don't we do the same/have the same faith in Chuck Scott this year? especially with the current qb situation?
Defenses weren't stacking the box nearly as often last year against us.

He is a freshman, you really think completely destroying any confidence he has left is the way to treat him. If he were a senior things would be different. He is making mistakes that freshman make, it just sucks that he is really the only choice we have this year.

Disclaimer: I am by no means bashing Miles, Lee, or the Tigers...I simply wondered what everyone would think about the situation so please stop taking it as a call to fire Les, deem him incompetent, smear our qb, or call for sweeping changes.
IMO the ranter-phobia on this site is every bit as bad as the rantards.
If you don't like something don't keep reading it. If you disagree with something, post a constructive comment. It's like a bunch of frickin 8-year olds. One person says something, the next person says its dumb and then they just go back and forth saying "no you're dumb."
Grow up and stop being alarmists?

I don't think so....Lee's problem is not lack of effort...his problem is that he gets nervous and throws without his feet being set....and often hurries to get rid of the ball before he needs to....I don't think jumping his arse will help either of those problems....
