I have always loved Les even tho I swore that if we lost to Ole Miss three years in a row, I'd help him pack. He is the real deal and finally, I think it is only a small group who don't think highly of him. I would be proud to have my son play for Les because he wouldn't just learn football, he'd learn how to be a man; how to treat a wife; how to treat one's children...heck, how to live an honorable life. He seems to really enjoy his life...even tho, his job is so pressure-filled...he is diametrically opposed to so many coaches out there. You are a tremendous asset to LSU, Coach!

And that right there is why I prefer Les to ANY other coach out there. Win or lose Les is the man!

My "little" guy was a GA for a D-1 program last year. After an incredible amount of soul searching, decided he "needed a life" & is assisting a hs team in NO this year. I have no doubt that his life's direction would be very different if he would have been with the LM staff.

What stands out to me is that he does not bring the office home, but lets home come to the office. He figured it out - hope others in his position will take note.

I always said Les Miles is the real life Forrest Gump( just not as stupid) Les has really turned me into a believer these past two seasons. What an absolute great human being! Glad he on our sideline. And I thought I was the only grown man waiting in the Slip N Slide line

Win or lose, we have one damn strong coach!!!

Great article. Bout time Les gets some positive press for all he does OFF the field. We don't hear half of what he does for the players, community, etc.

That brought a tear to my eye. I already loved Les, now i feel like i actually understand him. As a father of two i must say Kudos to him for keeping his career and family life in perspective.

Great read!!

LSU loves him because he is winning.. I love him because he is balanced.. you can see it in many aspects besides just this article. The media thinks it doesn't fit into college football... but what I like most is he couldn't care less. He just wins.

That was a very well written article and fantastic read on the great man that is our coach.

The B.R. City Council should start evaluating the streets of Baton Rouge. There will be at least one renamed in honor of Les Miles.
