Was against Miami in the '05 Peach Bowl and last year vs. Ga. Tech in the Peach Bowl. A Les Miles coached LSU won both games by combined scores of 78-6.

IF you think this staff just started prepping for Georgia and Florida, you are an idiot. We'll be ready to play and I think that we win both games and shock the world.

That is all.

I hope so, I am ready for excitement to return to this town about football. I do not even enjoy discussing football in Baton rouge currently.

When we have a month to prepare for UGA and UF, then you have a good point.

1. Who isn't giving LSU a chance?

2. Les had a month to get ready for each of those games. We jumped on Miami early, and they quit. We focused on stopping GTs option for a month.

I'm not saying that I don't think we'll beat UGA, but the circumstances surrounding the games you referred to were different.

Blow outs don't matter, it's the W that matters. get over having to blow out every team you play.

If you think that LSU will play up to Florida's level coming off a physical game with and SEC caliber Georgia, while Florida has a BYE you may have slight mental retardation. The fact that Tebow may be out only plays a small factor in helping to give us a little chance.

LSU vs VaTech in 2007

This is the most dominant game he has had under his belt against a "quality" opponent

Gators came into Death Valley as the defending champs in '97 and looked unstoppable. They had a 25-game SEC winning streak!!

Oh, '93 Bama game.

We're in both these games. Florida will be a war.

I'm reading what this board and national media are saying and it's feeling a lot like the Peach Bowl last year vs. Ga. Tech.

Re: the month to prepare: I get that and that is a good point. But, what is magical about having a month versus looking at a couple of teams throughout the offseason? Both Georgia and Florida have stable coaching staffs with tendencies and game plans. Washington and Miss. St. Had new coaching staffs, pumped up crowds, and excited teams. Vandy and ULL games were in the rain and were never in doubt.

I just think that LSU focuses, plays up to the level of competiton, and I think that they pull out all the stops and surprise people.

Is this team talented enough?

Yes.

Has this coaching staff proved it in big games?

Yes.

I think that we shock some people.

Plenty of blowouts if u go look at the '05 & '06 schedules. AZ, Miss St, Vandy, Tulane, KY, Fresno State, etc.

We'll get another crack vs North Carolina in opener next year.
