But you would think Saban is 4-0 against Miles based on the media discussing these two coaches.
Most of the media's knowledge of college football is no different than you or I. They hear shite and run with it too. Maybe I am watching different programming but though Saban usually gets the nod in coaching prowess, Miles is getting a helluva lot of love of late. Honestly, didn't think he would ever recover from the Ole Miss and then Tennessee debacles nationally. He is holding his own.

About a year ago, Les was being crucified on this site. Now, we're pissed he is being disrespected. The rant is the definition of chutzpah.
Les had a relatively good run at it last year...I thought it was a good season considering how cheap they bought Cam for...
Sans cam, it was a 1-loss season

Maybe I'm hearing different things. PTI today with David "I look like Tom Hanks in Philadelphia" Pollack was just another example. The media forgets Saban and AU last year, but they never forget Tenn or OM.

It really is a slap in the face to every player and coach on that team. It's really just a matter of the experts being uneducated about LSU.

Exactly. Talk is cheap and ESPN is cheaper. It will be decided on the field Saturday night. Everything else is noise.

Want your voice heard? Make a YouTube video of yourself screaming "leave les alone."
Omg espn you bitches, no you didn't.

They keep looking the other way and he keeps giving it to them long and dry.

I stopped watching ESPN yesterday. Last thing I've watched was All Access "LSU". ESPN was making me sick with the talk about Nick Saban being a better coach than Miles. Thats when I basically change the channel mainly because of what they were saying didn't make any sense.

While I agree over all there is an undercurrent of disrespect for CLM, there has been some love shown for him. There is a media created mystique about Saban. On the other hand I think Miles intentionally creates this jester type mystique. Sorta the goof ball mad scientist coach. It has worked in his favor in the past with other coaches not taking him and his team seriously. I doubt Nick is fooled anymore into not taking Les seriously.
If you havent lived the LSU Miles experience for the last 7 years I doubt many will ever fully understand the Mad Hatter.

How astute and well put! LSU and Miles always draw smirks from Chris Fowler and Rece Davis (who is actually very witty, but it seems someone has toned him down, unfortunately). I give Kirk credit for trying hard to be a fair-minded, unbiased commentator/analyst. He seems like a good person and would be great to talk with. He just has not matured enough to give up his old loyalties. Remember Keith Jackson? He should be the model announcer that every announcer should be measured against.
Verne Lundquist is hard to put down because he is so old, but his co-host, Gary Danielson, is simply disgusting. He exudes a dislike of LSU game after game. So mark how he behaves against Bama, especially if Bama is winning.
Mark May is unbiased, and remarkably, he is 52 but looks 42. Coach Holtz is unbiased (when Notre Dame is uninvolved), but he shoots from the hip too much. Also an excellent (and maybe the best) current, unbiased analyst is Fox’s Charles Davis.

I disagree with a good portion of all of that.
