Great post. I agree that to change the perception we just have to keep winning. Also, playing with a chip on your shoulder helps to make you more competitive. Just keep winning baby!!!

Brother, I cheer u in your intention. I love LSU and appreciate your perspective of LSU. I don't mean to piss in your cheerios, and we can all sit back and LOVE the LSU arse kissing for weeks. I just see it from a different view and always want fans to see it as positive as possible. I now know this teams place, and I hope the end is as much as I expect.

By the way, how does everyone feel about "The Game of the Century" being irrelevant now?
Do you think this was done on purpose, or do you really think the media believes Bama is the #2 team? Or is it a combination of both?
What it boils down to is that ESPN saw the record ratings CBS got Nov 5th and would like to duplicate them. Plus, they also feel Bama is the only team, at this point, that can beat LSU. They want this to happen so bad they can taste it.
I love it.
Bring on Bama and beat them worse. I can't wait.

AMEN BREAUX! A BIGGER TRUTH HAS NEVER BEEN SPOKEN. tho i'm late w/ it, i quit watching espn game day about halfway thru the season because i realized that they will never respect LSU no matter what happens. even if we win the BCSNCG, it AIN'T gonna happen! who cares what those meauxrons think?

I really don't understand how anyone this year can say that LSU gets no love from the media. They have been the consensus number 1 team practically all year and the media has for the most part agreed that LSU is the best.
You will always have a handful of media personalities that will pick against the consensus. Same things happen to the Yankees, Oklahoma, Dallas Cowboys, USC etc etc etc.

ESPN's commentary is like the nightly news: I know what they will say before they say it. None of the BS people are whining about today regarding what ESPN is saying about LSU surprises me. that's the point----those schools are living on reputation only, and not recent accomplishment; however, the moment they start winning (any kind of winning) they are pushed toward the top of the rankings.
