re: The job O has done this season is nothing short of outstanding

I love Aranda but he's replaceable just like everyone else.
Right, he's so replaceable that they desperately gave him more money than most HCs in CFB make.
Actually, O and Alleva's actions indicate that they know Aranda's their meal ticket. He leaves and this entire thing comes crumbling down. That's why you give a guy that much money.

I want to keep Aranda but lets be honest he hasn't performed any better than Chavis. There are other defensive minds that could do well here. Wisconsin remained good defensively when Aranda left.

Why would they give him way more money than any other DC is making if he's so replaceable?
You guys are asserting one thing but O's and Alleva's actions are indicating another.

That isn't the point. The point is can he be replaced? Everyone understands Aranda's value to the program but if you don't think he can be replaced you need to rethink some things.

Has he had better defenses than his predecessor? Is the miss. St. guy paid 2.5 mil? clemson dc? michigan dc? Aranda isn't the only one that can coach defense...not sure why tiger fans think he is the key to our success and if he leaves we are doomed.

Well, I think all that's being said is that we don't know for sure if O can replace his coordinators. He didn't do a good job of it at OM and his coordinator hires at LSU are Canada and Ensminger. Is that encouraging to you?
Ole miss is irrelevant. You look stupid by keep going back to that. The same way that he attracts a different caliber of player, he will attract a different caliber of coach. The same way a 6-21 coach can beat the teams he has this year.
But you’re gonna doubt everything he does as long as he’s here. We know this already

Alleva and Orgeron don't seem to think he can be replaced. That's all that matters because they're in charge of the program.

Like Ensminger?

Just bc they wanted to keep him doesn’t mean they didn’t think they can replace him. O wants to keep the guys he has good working relationships with. Staff continuity. keeping Dave was a want. Not a need.

Obviously there are other good coordinators the concern is, can/will hire one? His hires thus far have been a mixed bag and have been mostly people he already knew and while all coaches have “their guys” that they usually have with them, eventually they have to hire an “outside” guy. We haven’t really seen O do that successfully yet.

Show me the post where i said the cam offense was great? I said the 2015 offense was better than any O offense and FACTS back it up. Deal with it boy
Well the season is not over yet so nobody knows for sure.
How many top defenses did we play that year?
How many points did we score in big games when it really mattered?
What did we do if our running game got shut down in 2015?
In 2015 we had a 3rd year OC, a sophmore QB who played a bunch of games as a freshman and one of the best RBs and to ever play college football and a veteran OL yet we couldn't score more than 19 points all of November

The bad hire being Canada and the good one being Ensminger??

They just can't help themselves.

I think he was being kind. Canada was an abysmal fit and no power 5 team would hire Ensminger if he were on the open market today.

7-1 and 3rd in the country and still bitching

no, Cregg was good hire, Ensminger aight, but not exciting who is getting a pass because a) since the “haters” didn’t like it some defend it because they see it as defending O b) the offense was so stale and predictable and QB play so bad, that any improvement seems like a massive one

Who’s “bitching”?

seems like fans would give him credit for getting rid of the bad apple so quickly

Or like Matt Canada?
He either can or he can’t. Make up your mind.
Ensminger has proven to be a perfectly capable play caller & has gotten praise from many outside the program

Hey, my only point was, we've been here before, as recently as 2015 and no one was calling it outstanding.
