All the chicken little fans need to settle down. You don't win every baseball game.

I remember yall melting also when Miss State won last year's series.

Let's see what happens tomorrow. It's a new day.

If you had to pick one baseball coach in the country to get an offense going, who would it be? I pick CJJ every day.

As a bonus, Texas A&M has already been getting super hyped about their baseball team and they also lost their first SEC game.

The team has some offensive problems right now. Thats been pretty apparent for the last week or so. But there is plenty of talent on the roster and Jay's teams always hit so im confident it will get corrected. The first half of SEC play might be a bit rough but who cares? We have enough talent that we just have to get hot at the right time

This is loser mentality. The goal is 3 out of 3 during the SEC weekend.

But winning 2 out of 3 and winning the series puts you in a great position at the end of the season.

BS, you're not seasoned baseball fan if you think so. Research it. Series sweeps are a low probability. That's how SEC baseball goes. I'm talking about from a fan perspective. Of course I expect every LSU baseball player to want to win every game.

From a fans perspective that's watched years and years of ball, that's just not how it goes.

This is nonsense. No team sets a goal to lose games. None. The goal is to win them all. But they understand that it’s baseball.

I agree with everything you said except for this statement. The first half of SEC play could be the difference between hosting a regional and super or being on the road for both. Which could end up being the difference in going to Omaha or not.

Nobody said they did. The goal is 2/3. You play to win all 3 but that would be exceeding the goal in the SEC.

Quit trying to manipulate things for the sake of arguing. You know what he meant.

This is a largely semantics argument y’all are having but baseball is like taking a test in college. Just because your goal is to get an A on all of your tests doesn’t mean your goal is to miss a few questions. It’s just accepting the reality that over the course of a long exam, misses will happen. No different than a basketball player setting a goal to miss no shots. It’s just not realistic unless you’re not taking any shots at all.

We’re never winning another game.

Jay needs to do the right thing and cancel the season.

This is false and every baseball coach will tell you otherwise.

Ooooohh. The Vince Lombardi-wannabe. *Says in dramatic voice—“winning isn’t everything … it’s the ONLY thing!”*

Sure. Just like the goal of every MLB team is to go 162-0, dumbass.

I don’t know why it is hard for some of the people in this thread to understand this. It’s like they don’t know the difference between goals and expectations.

Go to a press conference and start your question to coach Johnson “so we know your goal is to only win 2/3 on the weekend…” and he will stop you and say “No our goal is to win all 3.”
