You think this is from the SEC office? It is not, this goes to the big time power brokers. They were unable to get Wade removed when he was suspended. Then the big time smear campaign took root and it is still going on behind the scenes. Now they are trying to stop a team that could maybe make a real run

The thing is bad calls should happen both ways!

The approach is to call early fouls on the Tigers to back off their pressure. But, Florida couldn’t make their fts.
Usually, this allows the other team to mount a run and get back in the game, but it didn’t happen, so they had to continue to call a one sided game.

If Florida makes their FTs that game is stolen from us...The Tigers were constantly go to the boards and no calls...the few times Florida crashed the boards who comes the whistle as well as the 3 point shooting...

The refs are going to call way more fouls on us each game. That means we may do even better in the tournament than we are now.
I am just as concerned about LSU's opponents getting way less fouls called than their average.
It can be argued that defensive teams commit more fouls.
The big indicator of the "fix" is when everyone of LSU's opponents magically have their best defensive game against LSU committing fouls way below their season average.
The statistical anomaly of all your opponents having their best foul game against LSU is statistical evidence of fraud.

The fact is that for years refs/umps in all leagues have been pretty incompetent over the last 10-20 years.
The games have gotten way too fast for a lot of these guys

That was truly terrible officiating last night, but if there was a fix it probably came from gamblers not the SEC office (college basketball has a long history of tampered games).
Leagues fix games, too. Listen to the Whistleblower podcast.

I believe there is a directive sent down from the office (NCAA or SEC) for the refs to call all fouls on Reid and Eason. As evidenced last night, their fouls came in very tight clusters. It’s like, if the possibility is there, call a foul.

I love these posts. Yeah, the SEC office gives a flying frick who wins the Florida-LSU game.
Maybe, just maybe, we get more fouls because our defense is so aggressive.
Different refs work different games. For the fix to be in, many different refs would need to be in on it, as well as the ref supervisors who grades refs every game. And these are refs that have worked for decades to rise to this level. But they hate LSU.
Yeah, that sounds logical.

Fixes do not happen at that level. Fixes happen at every game at the local level. That’s why basketball is more like tv wrestling than any true sport

A lot of people on here said that this team would live and die by the number of foul calls. They can’t get after it as hard as they want because the refs are calling way too many ticky tack fouls. If they “let them play”, this team would be very very difficult to beat.

You miss point. Ours mostly were fouls… the same play on the other end was not.

But their 10 is misleading because they only had 6 when they had to begin fouling just to get LSU to bonus in second half

We play aggressive defense and therefore foul a lot. Last night was bad, but y’all are all up in your feelings if you actually believe there’s a conspiracy to take down LSU basketball through biased officiating.
If you ever played basketball or understand basketball, you’d know that the more athletic, aggressive team “creates” the most fouls.
Yes, LSU plays very aggressive defense and, yes, does commit some reaching fouls.
However, last night, LSU was significantly more athletic and more aggressive driving to the basket than Florida. That superior athleticism and aggressive drives normally create a foul differential that would favor LSU. The Refs last night never called fouls against Florida when we aggressively drove to the basket and they obviously fouled. On the FL offensive side, we would cause their players to walk, double dribble, etc and the officials would either not call them out or call a foul on us.
I’ve never seen a more blatantly unfair game called in the last 30 years than what I saw last night. It was criminally unfair.
