Off the dome, Arkansas does and State will not have to share the Palmeiro center once football builds a new indoor.

The second best team in baseball last year was Coastal Carolina. It is safe to say they paid little to no money for that sport.
Who else is spending any money on college baseball besides Arkansas, Texas and Mississippi State? Very few!
Johnson makes 3.4 million dollars a year. They just built a 5 million dollar weight room. They have a good sized NIL budget. They have won 2 of the last 3 National Titles.
These baseball posts begging for money are getting old.

On3 message board. Iowa and Jackie Daytona. Guys that dropped serious drops prior to Kiffin coming and Wade.

With all of that being said LSU is in the middle of the pack now in regards to NIL money for baseball. A major shift and what teams are committing has taken place.
Fact - LSU is at the top of the pack when it comes to NIL and player amenities. Just because other teams are starting to allocate more to baseball doesn't mean LSU has fallen behind.
The only thing LSU baseball is in the middle of the pack in is the updated ball park. And the Box ain't that bad, but we all agree could use a few updates.

Where did the high school class, as well as transfer class rank for LSU?
How is it possible to sign such highly ranked classes, while having no support?
Hell, this board said this was Jay Johnson's most talented team ever. Now the same people are saying that the same team sucks because they don't have enough NIL money.

LSU was outbid in the portal by Georgia, Tenn, and Arkansas for players
Three guys that would drastically change this team this year,
Volchko, Mack, Advincula, all outbid for.

Why did you ignore my question?
Posted on 4/2/26 at 11:45 am to Mbeloso
So, because we were outbid on 3 players you drew the conclusion that the baseball program doesn't have enough financial support? Even after signing the best transfer class?

believe it or not, women's basketball gets more eyeballs to your top programs then college baseball nationally
Yep and it’s not even close.

It is NOT possible for one program to get 100% of the players they want as long as other schools are out their offereing $$$ as well.

We need to stop building this narrative that the program isn’t getting what they need to compete.

HS class was great. Transfer portal was good not as good as the hs class. The coffers are running dry. Other SEC schools are starting to have more money for players and Jay is clearly bothered by it.
Boosters are being pushed to give more in the current era of college sports. Football is a focus, now Wade is back, and the decision to support Wbb or baseball is in the crosshair

In previous years before this teams were complaining how much LSU baseball was spending so I definitely do not believe anything about "lack of NIL" to LSU baseball. Look at the players Jay has ended up with in his tenure here. That's just a blatant lie at this point especially since they sign a top 3 HS class every year.
Maybe just maybe they whiffed on evaluations with the guys in the portal and it had nothing to do with budget.

Those eyeballs do not translate into dollars. Sure it’s good exposure for the school and it’s important, but when it comes time to pay the bills it doesn’t go very far.
Baseball brings in more revenues. Baseball, like WBB is very well attended. Nationally baseball is also putting LSU in a favorable light.
The problem as I see it is that revenue sharing should be given more so to the programs that bring in more revenues.

The point is don’t have the money for players that other teams have.
MS state is a good example. They are about to go on a run because they are spending a lot of money on baseball.

You have maybe one example of this while in previous years it was all LSU. 1 year doesn't make a norm especially since they won a NC and had less time to actually sit there to hand pick portal players. A lot easier for teams like Miss State to go all in when they're sitting at home admiring what LSU is doing and Miss State has been serious about their baseball program like LSU for awhile now.
LSU will make him happy and give him reassurances alongside likely a spending run this next offseason. It's not as dire as you're trying to make it.

People will cite ratings from the Caitlin Clark years to prove their point.
What they won't talk about is the 35 years of pushing WBB down your throat by ESPN that got the audience to where it is now.
