It’s like you missed the entire context of my post and who I was responding to

As mentioned, teams dropped an extra man in coverage and spied daniels

His lack of downfield passing has as much to do with not establishing the run as it does his inability to make those passes

Plus just math. More defenders/dbs than wideouts downfield

A lot of you “ball watch” when you watch these games and have a lack of understanding of the nuances of the game

this comparison needs to stop. JB had maybe 30 live snaps while at OSU do basically his real experience came in his first yr at LSU.

I do agree with most of your post though. JD has progressed throughout the year and an offseason will make him even better.

I guess our fans have forgotten how average most of our QB's have been this century to shite on JD so much

Most of what you say is correct. Except, from what he has shown so far, he NEVER plays a down at QB in the NFL. Too inconsistent and to slow to make decisions.

He may have NFL talent as a passer, but has not shown it yet. Has another year to get better there.

Definitely has NFL talent as a runner/scrambler. That may get him drafted in late rounds. But must develop as a pssser if he wants to be an NFL QB.

Except the part about sec defenses figuring out how to shut him down by playing zone and spying him. Ga will make 3 bad games in a row, assuming ga defense is ready to play. Not a good trend heading to next year. I'll just never understand how some of you think I'm year 5 he will suddenly become accurate and be able to read a defense.

I don't see how some of you don't understand how coaching can improve a player. Of course yall also think teams will change their entire defensive philosophy just to defend JD

The fact that you think coaching can help accuracy and ability to see the field says it all. Coaching can help only so far. You guys think he was getting high school level coaching at a major PAC school. Ok

yet a coach making 100 mil thinks otherwise...gee i wonder who knows more? the fan who most likeluy has never played or coached at this level or the coach who has spent his entire life doing so.

Not a coach and haven’t played in 20 years

I just have eyes that work properly

It’s really not a difficult concept to understand but you’re welcome nonetheless

I was in the end zone LSU section, these were not 50/50 balls JD wasn't throwing. This was receivers running wide open down the middle of the field, that he either wasn't looking at or chose to throw shorter routes

Lol coaching can help both of these things

You think people are simply born with precision accuracy or not?? Or that QB coaches don’t teach QBs how to read the field??

next level QB, like it or not. NFL scouts see him as such

Unless he drastically improves his accuracy from 15-25 yards there is no way he is an nfl qb. That’s where qbs live now.

People are born with the natural ability to think quickly in their feet and make quick decisions…

It’s no different than some guys as fast af on their feet

Or pitchers throwing 95mph.

One has to have the natural ability first.

Yes, in some cases

Plenty of QBs have been developed

The two things described in the post I responded to are both things that QB coaches often teach

Wow! Such lofty praise! Very talented athlete for sure, but I wouldnt sell the farm on him making it in NFL. His progression and regression all year doesnt bode well for being drafted on day one. More than likely a 6-7 round draft pick or UDFA.
