Yesterday again exposed the program’s Achilles Heel for over a decade: quarterback recruitment and development.
An unproven 4th year back up and two freshmen is not a great situation.
Until O fixes this situation by attracting elite quarterbacks we can’t expect to remain elite. Oh, we won’t be awful but the days of winning at the CFP level by playing ball control are over.
You can’t hide your quarterback. He’s got to be the straw that stirs the drink.

Elephant in the room is why we had THREE KEY Opt outs, yet Bama had Zero. We lose too many Jrs to the draft.

Yet again, good old boy, golden age syndrome offensive play-calling.

In short, Ensminger.

O also needs to find a real OC again.

It's been an issue for 12 years. Burrow just temporarily made us forget that this was a major problem.

I say we build our entire QB strategy off of transfers. Might as well go all in on it. Develop a system, keep tabs on potential transfer situations a year ahead of time and know who to target. Outsource the development since we appear to be utterly incapable of it.

this and fix the oline. Brennan is mediocre but he can be coached up with a real coach, not a te coach

We have the #8 QB in the country committed for 2021. We have the #3 QB in the country committed for 2022.
Hopefully that trend continues.

Lets just hope O doesn’t pull a Miles and let pride and stubbornness get in the way of making the right hires. He hit a grand slam last year and I think he can do it again but will he is the question.

No you should STFU and stop using “retard” as an insult. Call me a stupid goat fricker if you wish but have some fricking awareness about the term “retard”.

Take Brennan’s stats and shove them up your arse along with the big L.

Clemson and Alabama both have people return. We have people leave who become late round picks and 3 more starters opt out. I'm not sure why our culture is so much different in this regard. The talent is there, the experience is not.

He has Nussmier and Howard verbally committed...O has to be careful the wheels don't fall completely off and we lose them

The loss was a group effort. Special teams and kicking were solid, but that’s it. Watching from inside the stadium, it was clear that Brennan wasn’t ready. He may (should) improve considerably this week. But don’t roll out the final stats and make the argument that Brennan had a good game. He didn’t.
